Ajer and Simunovic should start in Valencia

192

With Scott Brown suspended for Sunday’s game against Motherwell, I would play Olivier Ntcham in Valencia on Thursday.  Olivier was due to return to the substitute’s bench last week, but succumbed to illness shortly before kick-off.  He has not played since December, so will be short of match fitness, but an hour in the Mestalla will prep him for Motherwell.

With Filip Benkovic injured, Dedryck Boyata is our best central defender, but neither of them will be at the club when the Champions League qualifiers take place in July.  Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic will both be here.  For that reason, they should start against Valencia.

You, me, Brendan and Peter all know we need central defensive reinforcements for the qualifiers, but knowing that and meeting the challenge are two different things.  Ajer and Simunovic should be given every opportunity to develop their game at this level, as well as their mutual understanding.  We have nothing to gain from developing Dedryck’s understanding of European football.

    MACJAY.

I know they can interfere with my blood pressure, but when I went back to my doctor four day’s after the first visit, I told the doctor that I had done so, and I showed him the readings, he put all the reading into my medical information and didn’t say I shouldn’t have done so.

He seemed happy that I had done so.

    Sorry , Auldyin. ( I should talk ! )

It was my poor attempt at humour .

    Well, no surprise.

Richard Gordon has revealed that Aberdeen invoiced Sevco for 200 broken seats from their recent visit, that is close to 10% of the tickets, given to away fans.

That was kept very quiet and tells you, how agenda driven Sunday was.

A bit of Bhoystrus fun at Kilmasonic on Sunday. As other pitch invasions have been described this season by other clubs. We pay for seats and move on.

I hope Kilmasonic get hammered by a huge fine for toying with fans safety and not having enough stewards and police there on Sunday, it is after all their gig so to speak.

    “cockwomble”?

I had to look that one up!

(which I did with a certain degree of trepidation, I might add!)

    Natknow

The interview also started with Brian McLaughlin tryin to link killie & his treatment as only thing going on.

Soon sorted him out. Until the media call it out every weekend (true sectarian singing…& BTW PC peeps dont go there….) then that will continue.

    Anyways…..HH

Yeah mate – Lenny has years of experience and spots the agenda a mile off.

Shouldn’t need to be so guarded though.

Neil Lennon should just leave the country according to Radio Scotland.

Where do you start with that shit??

    ————

Where do you start? Stop listening to it. :)

    ——————————-

Good advice mate – I should know better than to imagine that the main subject of the programme might be the advance Celtic made if the league. Despite week-in week-out sectarian singing and abuse from the huns, apparently the main talking point tonight was a couple of broken seats due to fan enthusiasm.

  7. GLENDALYSTONSILS on 19TH FEBRUARY 2019 2:17 PM

So Steve Clarke wants every Celtic fan who came on to the pitch (despite the fact they only came on to the track) prosecuted!

I don’t hold with pitch invasion, but please Steve……leave that sort of thing to level 5.

    Future Celtic manager?……..errr , I don’t think so.

    ——–

I think Clarke was being very precise with his words. Yes, every fan who entered field of play should be prosecuted. Those spilling on to the trackside are not included.

  8. Hello again all you young rebels.

Just watched big Kristoff our future captain in my opinion on

CTV. there, and between the way he speaks of our club, and

his attitude regarding that bad tackle on Broonie by eggface

    during the Killie game.

He ran from his own half to confront the twat and Madden, and

it’s something we could be doing a bit more of when the

cluggers start the disable a Celt type of dangerous play.

So think i’m with P67 here, give him and Simo more game time

    together.

Mental how quickly some posters on here began to castigate and condemn the Celtic support.

It’s like they couldn’t wait and immediately accepted the narrative without any concrete evidence.

Parasites was one of the words used.

    Who needs enemies eh?

Who needs a green hammer and sickle ?

    Who need Palestinian flags ?

    Who needs Maduro`s flag ?

I also loved the way he ushered Timo away from Jordan the pusher and the serial Killie abusers.

  11. Macjay

If we didn`t do that kind of thing, then I feel we would not be worthy of the Celtic: More than a Club epithet.

I’ll catch up with you in the BV on friday, leave car and should be in 4.30 ish.

HT… Good to se you back on and keeping up the fight.??☘☘

  13. I`vehadtochangemymind.

As I keep saying, there is not a lot between the two sides. I think some of our support still have that inferirity complex generated by anti-Celtic nonsense in the MSSM.

    Keep the Faith !!

    Goodnight all,

    JJ

    PS Macjay,

I might disagree with you re flags etc but I do agree re Ajer. He could become a van Djik.

  14. Firstly, throwing objects such as coins, batteries or Buckfast bottles at players at a football game is a cowardly act, however, there’s an MSM narrative being perpetuated since our trip to Ayrshire on Sunday where essentially we clinched 8 in a row. A narrative which could easily have been peddled many times already this season.

The difference is that the ‘already’ involved games which didn’t involve Celtic.

You’d almost think it was the realisation that It’s yet another failed ‘hero’.

    We’re smarter than that folks.

  15. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

I mentioned yesterday that there is clear vision of an object flying past and narrowly missing Boyata shortly after the game.

Doubt that it came from a Tim .

A polite response. Thank you .

These controversial issues imho damage the reputation of Celtic.

That`s my only motivation in responding to those who support them.
