CELTIC new Bhoy Kristoffer Ajer is refusing to get involved in a war of words with Norwegian legend Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
The teenager agreed a four-year deal with the Scottish champions last week – and was criticised by the former Manchester United hero who is now in charge of Molde.
Solksjaer wanted the 17-year-old midfielder to join up with him at the team that beat the Hoops in the Europa League earlier in the season.
Other clubs, including Ajax and Bayern Munich, were monitoring Ajer’s remarkable progress with his club, IK Start.
And the Molde gaffer believes his move to Parkhead is a mistake and was only done for money. However, Ajer spoke to Norwegian TV to set the record straight.
He said: “I saw it (what he said). There are many other teams that are better than Molde on developing players, so it’s not something I think about.
“It is somewhat typical, if they were just looking for me. I know myself what my contract looks like, and I know the plans that I have.
“What people say or believe, I care very little about. But Solskjaer is a very good manager, so it probably came out a bit wrong.”
Kristoffer Ajer will join up with Ronny Deila’s emerging Quality Street Gang in the summer and next season we will really see a Celtic side created by our Norwegian manager.
