AJETI DEAL DELAY

CELTIC target Albian Ajeti appears in no rush to give the Hoops an answer on his proposed season-long loan move from West Ham.

Neil Lennon hoped to have the deal done last week, but the former £8million Basel striker asked for time to mull over his decision.

The Swiss international frontman returned to his homeland to ponder over his next move.

Arber Sakiri, the player’s agent, refused to shed any light on the situation and gave no clues as to where his client will be playing in the new campaign.

He told the Daily Mail: “For the moment, there is nothing to say. He is still a player of West Ham.

“It is normal that we have some calls here and some calls there and people are talking about this.

“It is also normal that people are talking about something and some interest here or there, maybe that’s true. From our side, there is nothing to say.”

Arjeti is a former Basel team-mate of Mohamed Elyounoussi who returned to Parkhead in a second temporary transfer from Southampton in the summer.

Hammers gaffer Davie Moyes has told Ajeti he has no future with the London club. The nine-in-a-row champions were willing to take the attacker for the campaign with a view to buying him for £5million if he impressed during the period.
