Sadly, it’s also as hollow as the big drums they bang – as loudly as they can outside Chapels.
If they truly had that ethos they would not insist on routes that antagonize to the maximum IE Chapels and Celtic minded pubs like on Saturday. Nor would their “musicians” be playing Beach Boy classics to allow the yahoos and pavement pirates that follow them to belt out “the famine is over – why don’t you go home”.
So, it’s 10/10 for artistic merit and 0/10 for genuine Christian decency.
Anybody have the misfortune to see the Evening Times Twitter feed this morning? One tweet had a picture of Southgate and the caption, “Which garment links Gareth Southgate and William of Orange?”
Last week they were asking if Catholic schools should be abolished. Last month they had a story about an Orange hall in the East End getting gutted by fire and had a link to a crowdfunding campaign to rebuild it. It ran all week, that link.
They’re obviously pandering to the Orange demographic.
I hope you realise that comment will raise Ernie Lynch from his slumbers.
On a similar note I was at Forres Highland Games on Saturday and there was a display of live birds of prey including owls. I said to my son “there’s a Falcon over there.” He said “is it a Peregrine?” I replied “naw there’s only wan.” He was not amused.
On another note, Baird’s Bar lost its licence for repeated acts of unchecked violence and not sectarian singing.

Piece of useless information alert!
My father-in-law is English but has a Welsh surname.
I watched the WC semi final last night with two Englishmen, one a Tottenham fan from London and the other, a Geordie, who supported Newcastle but now lives in Madrid. Both were good guys and thought Rngland might have the beating of Croatia because they sacked their manager but both were very doubtful if they will beat the French. Neither were arrogant. I think I’ll be supporting England too now that all the Celts are out of the tournament.
The Geordie knew all about His Big Mikeness’s contract clause which prevented the Huns from selling their three new strips. He personally disliked Ashley for holding back Newcastle. Apparently Ashley refuses to sell for less than £400m but the guy says that no one will pay that for the club. I did tell him that I thought Ashley was a horrible guy with despicable business practices but was playing a heroic role in the downfall of Sevco.
I lived in England for 6 years, have a lovely English wife, have many really good English friends and relations and my best man, God Rest him, was English but not even Gareth Southgate and the demeanour of the current English team could get me to support England. If I did all those people I mentioned above would raise their eyes to the sky looking for the asteroid that was heading towards the Earth ?

Is that a fact?
I was staying with a French Couple in a little place called Bouaye and the husband used a very similar expression `Little Jesus in velvet trousers` to describe the softness of high quality wine .
Surely the ET did not just make it up?
Incidentally, as a paper boy in Glasgow many years ago, I considered those who took the Times as Celtic supporters and the Citizen as Rangers` followers.

I used to deliver the Evening Times, the Citizen had just gone by then.
Anyway, one of my customers was a cantankerous, grumpy Rangers supporting git.
He never tipped and always complained if he considered I was late, which, of course, would have been the van guy being a little late, not me.
Do you recall on a Saturday, you used to have the Pink edition with the football results and the white one which didnt.
I had one customer who took the white, the rest wanted the football results edition. No social media or internet for football reports in those days.
One Saturday Rangers beat Celtic 1.0, now was the time, I put the non football edition through his door and ran as quick as I could, before he got to his letter box.
As he had paid me, up to date, on the Friday, I never returned on the Monday, I had this image in my head of him waiting on me with an axe.
I apologised profusely to the lovely lady on the Monday, lying that I had posted the wrong paper through her door.

Thanks for that. It wasn`t so much the mole hill/King Billy thing; it was more the Jacobite Toast I was wondering about.

PS There are quite a few molehills on Arbroath Golf Course. I think aptly timed ( Hun opponent`s backswing) comments will be being made about the gay Orange prince :-))
