It’s all about interpretation.Leicester rescued Ranieri from the scrapheap after his unsuccessful spell as Greece manager which led to his sacking.
He then goes on to win the league which everyone said was impossible.
His next season was a disaster.Simply to many players now viewed themselves as to good for a small EPL club and they lost the main reason they won the league (Kante to Chelsea.) Also it seems the players stopped listening and opponents had sussed his playing style.
There are similarities with Brendan who is an excellent coach but is not without flaws.
Certain players who were excellent last year have underperformed.Injury has impacted on our form but opponents have also sussed our style and negated our potency.Also wonder if like Leicester players feel they are better than our league and have been complacent leading to dip in form.
It’s a difficult landscape now for all but the coaches of mega rich clubs.
Success will bring the vultures to snap up the best talent and hard to blame players opting for riches over trophies as it’s a short career.
Contracts mean very little in the climate of free agency so a coach is always having to plan for the future with short term limitations.
Football fans will always have differing opinions and we certainly won’t agree on all.
On here i liked Delia’s talk and was excited about his bold appointment so welcomed him.
After about 3 months i thought it was clear he lacked the ability to implement his ideas and voiced my concern.I took a huge amount of flak over this but i stuck to my guns even though the second half of his first season was better.Not that i did not like him but i felt we won due to having superior talent who showed it rather than the team strategy he had promised.
Some of the above points may be the reason second season was hard to watch.
I digress but my point is Brendan is very good but needs to improve in Europe and this seasons league form.
As for nostalgia i followed Stein’s Celtic as a youngster and only remember perfection.

Agreed every manager needs to keep improving and I doubt Brendan will ever settle for the status quo in his team any manager who does is toast!

MWD. The petition has to be delivered to someone and SFA could just ignore. Celtic are a member club with shareholders who have lost the most so have a right to act on their behalf.
This is very important in accountability terms.
