And so it begins

478

And do it begins.  For years we were subject to ‘Martin O’Neill leaving’ stories, as everyone from local pundits to Tory Party leaders wanted him to move south  Now they want Brendan to leave his beloved Celtic.

This is the reality of success, the alternative is anonymous failure.

I don’t know Brendan’s inner thoughts, but I know he invokes plans for years ahead at the club when taking to his employer. He may or may not be settled in Scotland, but he sounds it.

Doesn’t matter where you were born, how you grew up or what school you went to you either have class or you don’t.

I’ve been fortunate enough to meet many classy CQN’ers in the last 8 years, now I don’t know if they were middle class or working class but the class they showed to me in hard times was what I call Celtic Class and that young friend is what this blog is all about.)))

  8. I read Jim White’s tweet earlier about Brendan wasting his time up here. Pure click bait Hunnish pish. Sadly too many Celtic supporters have fallen into the trap of engaging with him. Whether he’s in cohorts with Level 5 or not I don’t know. What I do know is that’s he’s just another excuse for a journalist in a long line of hurting Huns.

One of the best things I got from my parents was the importance of education and working hard. I was born in a room and kitchen in whiteinch – nothing wrong with bettering your standard of living as long as it’s not at the expense of others.

  12. I saw two items on Sky News over here on Brunei. One about Sky Sports winning an award for transfer window day and another about the RAC attending a guy whose car battery had gone flat due to the Beast from the East. I was then left wondering which was less news worthy – aye right.

    NB

Healthy batteries don’t go flat in cold weather so left me wondering if the owner of the badly maintained car had an MOT or insurance? Analogous with sevco ;-)

I read the blog daily (almost obsessively my missus would say) and I’m puzzled about how I could have missed all these posts from people who want rid of Brendan Rodgers???

Certainly read a few criticising some aspects of team selection and tactics, but I for one am prepared to cut him a bit of slack. He is ,after all, the best manager we’ve had in a very long time and the best we are likely to have for a very long time.

You don’t suppose Jim White or worse still, Jim Traynor, posts on here do you?

  16. Interesting talk about class divisions, with trying to get someone to buttle for you a near lmpossibility—-not to mention a dearth of caviar spoons. I liked the quote from Brendan Behan.

Another time he was sentenced to be shot by the IRA, who said he was to by shot “in his absence”.

Behans reply was “They can shoot me in my absence.”

  18. I attended the local hospital today, in Kuala Belait, as recently my hearing has deteriorated and I had to keep asking Mrs PMTYH to repeat herself to both of our annoyance. The consultant gave me a good look over and said that my ears were occluded with wax which he proceeded to remove using a fine suction unit, job done.

I’m going back tomorrow to see if he can reverse the procedure!
