This morning’s images of a chain of people snaking around the Celtic Park ticket office and out towards London Road is remarkable. Even more so when you consider more people were buying season tickets online than queueing from the small hours to make sure they can support Celtic next season.
Frankly, I didn’t think we’d see sights like this until we saw a change in playing environment.
Season ticket sales, together with recent commercial deals concluded with Dafabet and Magners, puts the club on an enormously better financial footing, but the benefits extend beyond what we see today. Peripheral income, such as match day spent at the superstore and at kiosks, will have a corresponding lift.
Now if we get Champions League income on top of this………….

I enjoy your reasoned posts and in general I think you have some grounds for your complaints against the board. My brother and friend went to see Peter Lawwell a few weeks ago regards their complaints, had a two hour discussion and left with a renewed sense of optimism regards Resolution 12 et al. Both renewed their season tickets.
Genuine question, what would it take for you to buy a season ticket this year, assuming one is available?
Oops,forget the link.

So glad a lot of Celtic supporters are ,buying season tickets,Winning Captains, re the main stand ,if you look at the photos, in the 70s or 80s of the stand, why did they change the structure, that it is to day,in my view it spoils the whole stadium, and if the catering and toilets facilities, are that bad,why is supporters like yourself, paying top dollar,to be denied decent facilities, maybe if as they say that Dermot Desmond, is taking a more hands on approach, maybe he will do something, about renovating, the old stand ,which in my eyes is very dirty looking, and while you are at it Dermot ,get rid of Parks of Hamilton Coaches, rant over,

Unreal. Can’t say I’m a massive Neil Young fan, but ‘after the gold rush’ is truly brilliant.

Magical mate,magical.Thanks for that.

Wonderful – thank you so much for posting that. HH
Caught BBC Scotland sports news tonight. Queues for season tickets at Celtic Park obviously had to be reported as a feel good factor for Scottish football as a whole.
We have limited availability, jambos sold 12000 and a waiting list and apparently sevco 33k .

On DD – perhaps not so much of a more ‘hands-on’ approach, as a loosening of the financial ‘purse’strings’.
Surely no one believes that PL has been working contrary to DD”s wishes for over twelve years.
It’s inconceivable that our CEO has been working without instruction from the “defacto” President of Celtic.
I work for a one billion dollar turnover company with circa 4000 employees. I know the President well and all of the VP’s.
Two things I know for sure:
1. Mr opinion no matter how fervently held is not that important in the grand scheme of things.
2. My company is not a democracy
Why does anybody think Celtic is different!

I fear we are gonna try the patience of many on the blog if we take the semantic part of the debate as to the similarities and differences between opposition and bigoted prejudiced views.
So I will just address this point:-
“You have said you not consider Scientology a religion, do you consider it a cult ? If so such a demotion from religion to cult, I would expect in the eyes of those who follow, consider your views as religious bigotry. ”
Yes, I am not convinced by the claims of Scientology or Jedi-ism or Wicca or Aryan Nations or the Cargo Cults so I would not expect their followers to be mad keen on me or my views and they might even shout “Bigot!” at me. I’ll live with that but I won’t accept the label: I won’t accept rule by The Offended.
I have no doubt that Ian Paisley saw himself as a Man of God and that his beliefs were genuine. I would still oppose his Westboro Baptist form of divinity which is heavy on the condemnatory and the discrimination but light on the forgiveness and the love. I don’t think it is bigoted to oppose that.

Great to see the turnout at Parkhead/Celtic park, haven’t seen the likes in a long time for season books.
I’ll be going up tomorrow to get two books, anybody know what’s available.
The upturn on seasonbooks will reflect an upturn on hospitaliy.
I get a couple of invitations a season and number 7 has been half empty, unlike in the past.
Ps..daughter said there is still a que at parkhead. :))

You won’t need it, it’ll be done and dusted by then. Case closed, maybe.
The Scottish Cup Final looks like Saturday 27th of May next year. Anyone going to Lisbon will need to be on a Friday flight back home or you’ll be missing a treble party!
