What a lot of people are forgetting is that we were up against the 3rd best team we will face before Christmas – away from home (PSG and Bayern will be 1 and 2). We dominated possession, soaked ups everything they threw at us (comfortably); passed them off the park; scored 3 and conceded none.
This was. step up from our usual weekly fare and we coped admirably. We are a young team finding our feet and coped superbly well – 5 started under 25.
It was a fantastic performance and result.

Spot on! Some peeple in here chose to diminish tonight’s performance. Deary me; do they not remember some of our away European “performances” ? Brendan has changed the approach. Pass them off the park and strike on the counter. Clean sheet and 3 points away from home. That will certainly do me!! We are very fortunate to have him as our manager.

Welcome to the Celtic family Gracie and Sadie.

Pleased to hear your news Cowiebhoy.
Brendan said that we were wasteful at times tonight, he was right, in the first half we did give the ball away more than we should have and we got away with it, at times it was like a home game for us, but we got to grips with things after the break, to say they were a bad team is total shite, we made them look inferior.
TURKEYBHOY on 27TH SEPTEMBER 2017 10:43 PM
If we have an 80%+ passing display against Bayern we will take something from the game; 605 passes attempted with 86% success. We dominated the champions of Belgium. That’s not to be belittled!

learning from mistakes is a good thing.
shows you are not a god i suppose.
so the fact you thought we played poorly when we were all over anderlecht might indicate you’re knowledge level. but once you realise you are foundation level football pundit it means you empower yourself to move to then next level. and leave it to brendan and sing when we win!!

Did you listen to Brendan’s comments after the game? His comments about maturity and bravery match exactly what I was saying.
I’m absolutely overwhelmed and overjoyed with tonight’s result, calm yourself I’m simply giving my perception of the game.
Now that was special. Superb.

Negativity
You want negativity
Ok
This must be the worst ever champions league group.
PSG a bunch of overpaid fancy dans,( I wonder how they would cope away to Stoke on a wednesday night in November),wait until Chelsea or Real Madrid wipe the floor with them
Bayern ,a bunch of has beens, never beens…what have these guys ever achieved
Anderlecht, A pub team, how did they get into the competition ?
Celtic …well enuff said, backwater league,no competition after their old rivals were dumped out of the league because of conspiracy involving the Vatican and the Kremlin
Sell Tierney now before his form dips
That negative enough
Ach, come to think of it we were crap. Imagine going to Belgium scoring 3 goals and conceding none, definitely the indication of a shite team.
Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand Steven Gerrard and even Frank Lampard giving Celtic due praise tonight, what a contrast with our own media BBC Scotland Radio in particularly who are anything but.
How’s yer secco accounts, Stewart?
Interesting point Brendan made about us almost being too embarrassed to keep possession
This team is going places

Are you finished numbnuts ?
Mate, we were terrible in the first half. Against a better team we would have been dead and buried
Sorry pal, is it Stuart?
dont care what anyone says we are going places with brendan .faith of our fathers holy faith.
Listen to Brendan
This is for Turkeybhoy and hamilton tim.
we need to be less embarrassed on the ball!
what does that mean! we controlled the game. that means we were good. but when you scream “get it up the park” or “play it forward” you undermine our prog2SLRXEress.
We were great tonight. if you think otherwise you need to realise that football has moved on from the quick ball out of defence to the big guy up front.
I’m delighted that we have won 3 nil away from home irrespecive of a poor first half. The first goal gave us confidence and we played much better in the second half and could have scored more goals. As for the media McLean on BT commentary very negative several times mentioned previous poor results, all of the Shortbread crew the same, I wont forget Gordon and his Hun sheep attitude after the PSG game. We keep winning will sicken them even more, whats not to like.

Gentleman, in the first half we were really, really poor. Brendan has said as much without saying it. When he referred to maturity he wasn’t talking about the second half when we were stunning.

I predicted 3-1 to Celtic before the match. My apologies to Craig, Dedryck and Jozo for suspecting you may lose a goal. Brilliant defence tonight. This doubting Thomas was impressed.
Clean sheet CSC

Now that was special. Superb.
Haha!
As an aside and for Huns waiting for their ‘accounts’ to be published – 3 points tonight means (at todays exchange rates) another £1.3 million in the kitty for the Hoops.
Tough day at the office …
3 games in 9 days
all away from home in 3 different competitions
all of them tricky in their own way
3 wins,9 scored none conceded
Not bad ,not bad at all
Sorry
8 days
CELTIC40ME
The problem with your assumption is we were up against Anderlecht tonight, had we been up against PSG we would probably have lost, heavily, we weren’t, so we beat what we were up against, it really isny rocket salad, but if you want to complicate things, carry on, your problem, me am happy we beat the Belgian champions, I will rub it in to our local Belgians the morra when I see them.
So we have gone from poor to really really poor.
Bed time

Do you think we passed the ball well in the first half?
If you did you know nothing about football mate.
Anyways I’m just delighted we won and can’t be arsed with the utter pish on here.
Honestly folks it’s absolutely vile on here most of the times. We know the Huns, direct your comments to them ffs.
Someone once said, I don’t know or care who it was, that it’s a game of 2 halves.
Miss Cairney would be proud of my correct plural spelling.
If we keep progressing at this rate we are not too far away from being fairly regular last 16′ ers in the CL.
Any cobwebs lingering from the PSG game were blown away tonight and we can go into the Bayern game with quiet confidence.
Notthebus
Really really poor is old news
We are now officially atrocious
Anyway,I am going to watch the game again on Celtic TV.Now that the guy that counts,BR,thinks the same as I do,that will do for me.
