  1. change of subject anyone remember my cousin johnny veitch. only played for celtic first team half a dozen times .his debut game late sixties celtic park diving header hits the post whole family up shouting and clapping happy days.

  2. It used to be this place was best avoided after a defeat. Reading back it looks like it should now be avoided after a win as well. Sad.

Natknow…did you hear English and co taking the piss at Celtic’s passing stats compared with PSG, Bayern etc.?

Clowns don’t always make you laugh…

    —————————————————————–

I did mate. They’re pricks. Pure and simple. I do wonder if there is ANY other team in the world whose national press treat them the way the Scottish press treat Celtic. It’s incredible that Scotland’s only representatives in the Champions League get the shit we do. No sense of realism, context, rationalism – just pure hatred a lot of the time. Utterly remarkable. Can only be explained by the kind of institutional racism that Neganon points up. No other explanation.

Perhaps that’s why I get angry about some (not all) of the negativity on here at times. I can hear and read it in every other sports outlet in Scotland. Expect a little more realism from our own. I must just be naive…

  4. What a result and performance tonight. We are now targeting 2nd place and why not ?

But the best thing about tonight is the amount of money our punters won and the amount of money the Hun punters lost….haha..

  5. celtic fans get a grip, cant believe some of the negativity.

this was a big step up for us, the way they closed us down at speed we are not used to it in the spl,

took us some time to get up to the pace but i thought we played really well, yes some misplaced passes but i thought we were comfortable all 90mnts. imo

  6. Bloody hell!! Just watched ITV highlights of our game. We wurny in the game .shows how editing can influence our viewing.

  7. DD…you’re a lucky charm :-)

I hope Roberto Martinez was impressed with Dedryck tonight and picks him for Belgium. Considering he has just returned after a long-term injury, he will surely only get better. Good on him! …

And what a big riddy for the big hovering (yoo hoo! I’m here) Alex McLeish…couldn’t pinoint a pluke on the end of his nose…bawbag!

  8. i,m going home im going home

    Embarrassed !!

3 -0 away to champions of a made up country

    BED TIMe

ps What do you mean we WON

  9. Was out tonight and recorded the game , phone off.. just finished watching ,well what can you say about that . A very good 3 -0 away win in Europe wee bit sloppy ,but came on to the game and we get 3 great points towards our aim of being in Europe after christmas . What’s not to like..

    Hail Hail tims

  10. Marvellous.

Hands up, I never thought Boyata had that level of performance in him. He was brilliant tonight.

Nitcham, well, he will become more consistent, but he was pivotal in 2 goals and never his, even when he was toiling in the first half.

3-0 away with room for improvement. At 2-0. 50 mins in I was looking forward to subs coming on, to make us better! What a time to be alive.

  11. Madness on here tonight, some of you are crazier than Pedro of Las Vegas.

We won 3-0 in the UCL away from home for our first group stage win in 4 years. Who cares whether the performance was good, bad or indifferent. That’s for another day and for Brendan to worry about. The team will enjoy the flight home and the Tims in Belgium will party into the night. Enjoy the good times and stop arguing over nothing.

  12. WBC

Ma da always said I was a lucky charm. The first 9 years of my life was our 9 in a row. Every cup final my da took me to we won. The last was Airdrie ’75. He said to me when I got a ticket for Seville that my luck would get us a win against Porto. Sadly my luck ran out in Spain in 2003.

  13. BSR, they’ve done it before, so they’ll do it again, until someone stops them.

    That isn’t likely.

    But they’ve suffered,…………. my erchie.

  14. We are are now favourites to be in European football in January, that’s good.

    Which competition?

Last 32 of CL for me, we may have more of an opportunity to win the EL, but the challenge to get to knock out stages of CL is where we want to stay surely?

The last 16, then QF, then…………………….

  15. There were so many good performances. KT, Jozo, Dedryck, Broonie and Olivier were dynamite tonight, yeah Ollie wasa bit nervous first half but he showed great strength of character after a shakey start, I thought he was quality as he hasn’t played a lot with the lads. Leigh G deserves a special mention for the insane workrate he put in tonight. Really superb.

Bayern will be different but we will cause them problems in Munich I reckon.

I think we can go there and win, although we will be even heavier underdogs as Bayern got a bit of a doing – the scoreline says that.

fwiw, my MOTM was Jozo. I’m so happy he has signed on for a wee while longer. He is awesome.

  16. TTR

Well said. Celtic’s best ever away win in Europe, and some are crying about misplaced passes. Mentalists.

Skin up, inhale deeply, relax and enjoy Celtic.

  17. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Good evening.

    Job well done tonight.

We came up against the second best team we’ve faced this season….

    ….. away from home …

… scored 3 ( CL group record for us)

… clean sheet (1st time away in CL group)

… and got back into the mix of the group.

I thought I was hard to please sometimes but on here tonight? Dearie me

    Hail hail

    Goodnight

  18. Timreaper

Thank you for your sanity – who knows what planet some ‘so called’ Celtic supporters are on tonight.

I am delighted for the travelling support, those who watched and listened or only picked up from pals.

For those who want to analyse every tweak I have a large selection of nappies and dummy tits!

    Hail hail to our team

    More

Football is weird over here in Belgium, you get to celebrate a goal without having coins and batteries thrown at you.

  20. I’m afraid the CQN Happy Police are on the blog tonight looking for any hint of unhappiness amongst the posters…anyone found being even the slightest bit unhappy will be forced to lurk on FF or Hun Media for the rest of the week…Remember:- What happens in Las Vegas is totally comfortably to attack the transitional spaces aggressively and stays in Las Vegas….with Kojo…

    So there! Goodnight…

  21. MWD

Does that mean you’ve been reproducing!!

    joke.

hail hail to all! Remember this is a great week to be a tim!!

  22. Weebobby

Why would any Celtic Supporter be unhappy tonight?

Don’t forget your hot water bottle :-)

  23. I have read hundreds of posts complaining about negativity, crying and lack of joy amongst CQN posters.

Trouble is I cannot find many posts that fit the complaint.

Most of the critical ones I have seen had 3 components

    1) An honest recognition that we were poor in link up play when trying to leave our defensive zone

    2) An equally honest recognition that we improved greatly in the 2nd half, and, most importantly….

    3) A great deal of joy in a fantastic result that will be long remembered.

I have not seen one post saying that was horrible and I am taking no joy in this.

We could start two fights in one empty hoose here.

  24. An amazing day

    Daughters birthday

A win away from home in CL

3 goals away from home in CL

A clean sheet away from home in CL

    Coupon up.

    Carlsberg Wednesday :-)

I’d have been in Brussels were it not for point 1.

    Amazing, wonderful, magical, beautiful day.

I even braved the ads and scrolled by the trolls to post this. Real Celtic Supporters will have nothing to moan about the performance, this is a superb time in our history. An excellent club, structure, team and manager. I’ve never been this excited about the future for our club and I’m enjoying every millisecond of it.

    We love you Celtic….

And this is how it feels.

    Hail Hail

    DELANEYS DUNKY

Well said to you anaw. Am doing exactly as you prescribed over here, and loving watching the game on catch up.

This is the beginning of a great adventure, as Lou Reed said.

Forgive me for asking but i believe you are a Dalmuir man – have you ever come across any Kellys from Shakespeare Avenue way, or just across from St Stephens?

  27. Delighted with that, yes I was shouting at the telly over simple misplaced passes while thinking we’ve never been more comfortable away in CL. We dominated the ball massively and it is telling the respect Anderlecht showed us by sitting back and trying to hit us on the counter.

We are progressing as well as can be hoped for and this result is so good for confidence.

Jean Claude Van Damme take THAT!

  28. Greenin

I am Partick born Knightswood bred, living in Dalmuir. Mountblow Tim is a Shakespeare Fenian. He knows the Kelly’s better than me. I am related to the McLaughlin and Gallacher families from there. Both families fae Ramelton, Donegal.
