ANDERLECHT’S ON LOAN STRIKER IN DEMAND

FORMER Celtic target Henry Onyekuru has seen his value double – without kicking a ball for Everton.

The Nigerian winger was loaned to the Hoops’ Champions League rivals Anderlecht for the season after the Goodison club agreed to meet the £7million asking price by Belgian minnows KAS Eupen.

However, work permit problems stalled the 20-year-old attacker’s move to England and the situation was resolved with his temporary deal with the title holders.

Onyekuru is now being tracked by European giants Juventus and Atletico Madrid after scoring six goals in his last six games.

The Italians are paying close attention to the pacy flanker after losing out to Monaco for the signature of Senegal international Keita Balde, and the Spaniards view him as a long-term replacement for Fernando Torres.

The fee on Onyekuru’s head has now soared to £15million and, ironically, Ronald Koeman, who bought the youngster, will never see him play on Merseyside after being sacked yesterday.
