Motor trade publication, AMonline, yesterday reported YouGov’s findings into advertising and brand awareness for the industry for last month. They show awareness of SPFL sponsor cinch increased to new highs, demonstrating “a greater increase in this metric than any other automotive brand in our database.”
YouGov credit this increase in brand awareness on coverage cinch received due to Newco’s refusal to display the league sponsor’s logo. The research company noted, “If [Newco’s} aim was to reduce awareness of Cinch’s advertising, our data shows that it clearly has not worked.”
Advertising and sponsorship is expensive, news coverage for your brand is almost impossible to acquire in a positive manner, but cinch find themselves as the innocent pawn in stories across all media. This level of coverage would be unaffordable if they were to attempt to pay for it.
One year today since Ange Postecoglou was appointed. He has been an overwhelming success, delivered the league title and brought footballers to Celtic who entertain and excite.
The levels of anger and lack of foresight left on these pages a year ago is not something you will all want to review. Success comes from hard work, innovation and strategy. Celtic will not get everything right, they will not win every trophy. As a community, we have to learn the lesson of what happened a year ago. A few articles from a year ago:
Postecoglou only part of the solution

Hate to be pedantic (Oh no he doesn’t) but you referred to records being destroyed in the “Dublin Castle Fire”.
It was actually the Four Courts fire during the Civil War where the archives were destroyed and invaluable records lost .

Ditto. From memory it doesn’t allow football colours and that’s why I was never in it.

Thanks for that but I’m surprised we haven’t announced it on the official site.

Agree we need more power and a bit of pace in the middle of the pitch. But it is the lack of pace at leftback going forward and backwards that has made it a target area for other teams and will continue to do so until sorted. A JJ lever leftback will offer greater overall balance to the team.
We would also benefit greatly from a ball playing centreback stepping in.
Priority signing on order:
Jota
Pacey leftback comfortable on the ball able to support defence and attack.
Powerful pacey defensive centremifielder who enjoys doing the dirty work and protects the back line with a good range of passing.
A solid centreback with pace who is happy to recieve the ball and step beyond a press.
Backup gk, just incase Joe get a knock.
Physical attributes like hight and strength counts for goalkeeper, centreback and perhaps defensive centremid areas, Not so much in the wider areas where pace and stamina are every bit as important at the top end of the game. We are not gonna dominate many games in the champions league but hopefully our pace will make us dangerous on the counter and hard to get behind easily.

Itakura could fill the the centre defence or DM, has pace, good on the ball and a bit of height.

You certainly don’t.

A wee bit lippy there champ . You happy with a 5ft 5 defender , ideal against balogun helander and plenty others . In my opinion he is way way too wee . You obviously don’t, Grand i appreciate your right to your opinion .
JimTim,
If I may, as I do every pre-season. Size doesn’t matter fella. The smallest team in the last few years in the EPL have been Man City and are one of the most secure from crosses. It really doesn’t matter. And if we are to stick to our principles then a confident, technically gifted, very quick LB will be an amazing asset to us winning games and be an upgrade in Europe.
Stopping the cross at LB is more important than competing with a big CH, which is about defensive shape and organisation. Something we have got better at.
Let the huns pump their limited players with roids til the cows come home. Having a wee nippy, ballplaying Argentinian is well overdue. I hear he might also bring a mate at CDM….

Yep,they should have blown up all the overpriced boozers across the Liffey.Bloody Tourist Traps.

Maybe Ange considers the young Argentinian player as left sided winger ,only Ange will know ,if the rumours are correct.HH
Wee quick, clever wingers and full backs, big lumbering Full Backs worst nightmares.
smaller defenders not so good at the number of set pieces we have to defend in this league.
unless they can stand on somebody’s shoulders
A giant perhaps………
According to most posters I seem to be off the mark with my fear for wee defenders . Personally i prefer to see the hoops with big guys ,it kinda helps stop us getting bullied like we did in SC semi final . Was looking at the boy Souza there he would do us fine in midfield ,, and the boy Bellis a ball playing centre half who looks like he is battle ready . But as always my opinion HH
new article posted.

Researching your own Genealogy can be very interesting and often leads you to places you could never imagine.
I have traced a few branches of my family tree back to the 16th century in England and Ireland. In the process I discovered that my great grandmother’s brother – Thomas Donohoe – introduced football to Brazil and is revered as a bit of a folk hero over there.
He was born and raised in Busby, East Renfrewshire of Irish parents with whom he later emigrated to Brazil. A sculpture of Thomas was recently erected in Busby. I and my two sons attended the opening ceremony.
More details of Thomas Donohoe (Footballer) can be found in Wikipedia.
===========================
That’s really interesting Tom,I recall a few researchers in e.ren libraries working on his story, then covid came and it went quiet on it.he merits the plaudits for his impact on football.good to find out his kin are tims as Busby and its ‘Masonic’ club has a lot of wee knuckled huns.
