JOE HART will make his Parkhead debut when Celtic take on Dundee in front of 24,500 fans tomorrow afternoon.

The 34-year-old former England international keeper was launched into his first appearance for the Hoops only two days after completing his £1million three-year deal from Spurs. The netminder played in the 4-2 win over Jablonec in the first leg of the Europa League qualifier in the Czech Republic on Thursday.

Hart promied his new set of followers he will improve when he gets rid of “the rust” after a season with the London club where he made only 10 appearances and failed to feature in a solitary Premier League outings.

Ange Postecoglou realises the experienced shotstopper will get better with games and that will mean the manager having to make a decision on who goes on the substitutes’ bench among Scott Bain, Vasilis Barkas or Conor Hazard.

Reflecting on Hart’s performance against the Czechs, the Hoops boss, speaking to BBC Scotland, said: “Joe was okay, I think he had one save to make right at the end. “It’s awfully hard, getting thrown in after a couple days of training. Joe had one day of training, Carl Starfelt was the same, likewise Kyogo Furuhashi.

“I’m throwing in guys and it’s a bit unfair on them to adjust. But they put their hands up to play and it’s the situation we’re in at the moment.

“Joe will improve and for us it’s really important he gets a good understanding of our game.”
