The Scottish FA has an interesting history of leaked emails. I hear. Today’s presentation, by that persistent thorn in the side of those who would rather awkward questions were not asked, Alex Thomson of Channel 4 News, is surely a contender for Leaked Email of the Season.
The critical words, written by SFA chief exec Stewart Regan on 23 June to various people, read:
“In parallel to the above, could Rod Petrie please brief Charles Green confidentially..”
So on 23 June, Petrie and Regan were on the onside with a plan to “gain buy-in to the plan” from SFL clubs to parachute Sevco into the First Division, and the SFA chief exec had instructed that the chief exec of Sevco was “confidentially” instructed on this plan.
On 24 June Rod Petrie’s Hibernian took plaudits for their statement of intent to reject Sevco’s application to the SPL, adding that “This re-affirms the view of the Board that the sporting integrity of the SPL is of paramount importance”.
Petrie and Regan are on the main Scottish FA board, along with former Rangers director Campbell Ogilvie (president), Alan McRae (vice-president – although I don’t think that means he is in charge of vice), Ralph Topping, Tom Johnston and Barrie Jackson.
It is no wonder our earlier calls for resignations have been echoed by SFL chairmen today. Sack the lot of them, I’d say.

‘rangers div three’ is an anagram of
rather deserving…
It’s not over ’til the fat lady sings…
and up rolls the credit…
THE END
The Chairmen of the football clubs all across the leagues have stood up for the fans of their own clubs, sporting integrity has won.
Now we can have a proper debate about the way forward, without trying to fix the structure to suit one club.
Wonder if Charles Green will be looking out some walking(away) boots.
Lets loan a few players out this season, Div 3 sounds like a good place…..
Best wee corrupt country in the world…
Tony McKelvie@TonyMcKelvie
Strewth, one club even voted against Sevco getting onto the SFL at all. These are remarkable days in Scottish football. We’re burning relics
Only one club voted with honour
So … can someone ask them how “Rangers” can be in division three when Rangers FC PLC (in administration) still holds an SPL share?
Afternoon bhoys, hot and hun free, just like the top 3 divs in scotland.
Delighted.
What I want tp know is was the club that wanted them out of football altogether.
The first vote was 29 to 1
Well done whoever you are

Can you explaine how you come to this conclusion by my question?

Eddie, i think Ernie was being somewhat facetious he has been taking a bit of flack for questioning the board. I think there may have been the odd inference of his being from the dark side for doubting the boards motives. Basically anyone who questions the board is a Hun.share on F’book or Twitter

Scottish Football League clubs have
voted to accept a Rangers newco into
Division Three for the 2012/13
season.
Representatives from 30 member clubs
decided Sevco Scotland Limited must
play in the bottom tier of the league
structure after rejecting proposals which
could have seen the new company play
in the First Division.
Airdrie United and Dundee were not
originally expected to vote in the ballot
but were informed that they would
need to take part in the process on
Thursday evening.
SFL clubs received a raft of proposals
on Wednesday following talks between
the Scottish FA, the SPL and David
Longmuir.
Prior to the vote, several teams across
the three divisions publicly stated their
intention to object to plans to allow the
newco to play in the country’s second
tier.
David Longmuir confirmed that 29 of
the 30 member clubs had voted in
favour of allowing Rangers Newco into
the Scottish League setup, and that 25
of the 30 clubs had voted for the club
to be instated in the Third Division.
Wonder who voted not to let them into the SFL My moneys on Raith
Just the small matter of a certain deid club’s history to be correctly noted now, and titles stripped.
That Sevco’s made a right arse of the Olympics as well.
SPL by tues?
Need to go out later, more red wine needed, what a night this will be.HH
