I see Celtic’s name was dragged by the media into what some low-life vandals did outside Ibrox this week – and a few years ago, for good measure. There are low-life vandals out there, and we don’t have a way to filter them out of the Celtic support, so I‘d not dispute any of the tangential links, but vandalism like this happens all too often without media coverage.
When stories suddenly appear to be so well framed in the newspapers, you have to wonder why? Or who is behind them?
There’s a big play underway for what, in this context, should be called Supremacy in Scotland. Celtic have it right now and no one else is strong enough to eclipse them. The best way to achieve this is to destabilise the club. It’s worked, but only to an extent.
I read Paul Larkin on Hail Hail Media this morning who raises some interesting questions on what’s going on and what we should do about it, “as a collective, cannot be beaten”. It’s hard to argue with.

Yet there’s no shortage of folk and written pieces, and that article this morning was one of them, which has no trouble at all labeling fellow Celtic supporters and bloggers as some kind of Fifth Column and Enemy Within.
Don’t accuse US of being a divisive force, and DEFINITELY DO NOT accuse us of being in the service of our club’s enemies. I’ll stomach a lot, and do, but I’m not having that.

CQN is I think making a difference in combating the anti-Celtic agenda in the MSM.
Of course the club comes in for plenty of stick on the blog too.
Since merging the blog with the CQN Magazine site we have been able to increase quite substantially the number of people visiting CQN. If we take the last 30 days for example and look at the numbers for the period 4 April to 4 May and compare this with the same dates over the last five years this is what you get, starting back in 2012.
4 April -4 May 2012 – 108,497
4 April -4 May 2013 – 131,390
4 April -4 May – 2014 – 108,497
4 April -4 May – 2015 – 108,334 (sites were merged in July 2015)
4 April – 4 May 2016 – 190,384
Pretty sure if we look at this for a 30 day period this time next week that may well show over 200,000 ‘users’.

Actually no. Had they voted against Res12 it on their stated grounds it wasn’t necessary then they had no obligation to pursue.
They didn’t and that obliged them to pursue until satisfied they had reached the right decision in saying it wasn’t necessary.
Had they not adjourned the risk they faced is that 4 or 5 years later they would face censure for voting against what on the face of it (which is what Res12 is trying to establish) amounted to deliberate behaviour in 2011 to get access to CL money when not entitled to, which the trials if it ever gets that far will demonstrate (or not.)
On the same club issue they simply have no locus and might be weighing up the safety costs of any statement against benefits and speaking personally that IS a factor.
Pressure should be on SFA to justify any continuity of awards. When they used their power of discretion under Article 14 to transfer RFC’S SFA membership to TRFC did that entail trophy haul and why?
If we do not stand up for Celtic, and confront the corruption.
Celtic will be the losers.

I posted this on Hail Hail Media site re combating L5 etc.
It’s not just Level5 it’s the DR, BBC, ClydeSsB, The Herald.
In Sept 2014 journalists in these organisations were sent hard copy chapter and verse on the key documentation not disclosed to SPL lawyers Harper MacLeod.
The case of the consequences of non disclosure on the LNS Commission Decision was legalled before taking to SPL, so what the journos had stood up in story terms. At the very least to investigate. Nada. Zilch.
Just last Oct the same story was spoon fed to the DR and distilled to 4 paras. Again silence. My point is that there is institutionalised bias not just in being negative towards Celtic but in failing to be negative against the institution they are part of.
Thus media links external to Scotland need to be cultivated by Celtic because stories printed overseas are as readable as those at home and stories that are buried at home can get aired outside Scotland.
Celtic have to get much smarter to combat the hostile environment in which they operate and a few statements of intent and why placed in recognised overseas media outlets where we know there is a nucleus of support is one way of stating our case and if our media try to spin it then we say something about that too in the same way.
And of course…..i will be supporting the local anarchist/surrealist candidate in the election…. Salvador MacBeth, who has promised if elected, to gather his political opponents and drop them head-first into a huge pile of s****, just for the hell of it.
