Anthony is under contract at Celtic for another three years, that will take him until he is 26. If he can improve as much next season as this, we will have a player on our hands.

I think Anthony’s performance last night shows that Clarke has something to answer for given his selection for the Ukraine game. ………… on his first game and in such an important game surely tells us one of Clarke’s weaknesses is his team selection. I wonder what his assistants thought.
ILJASB, that will depend on who his assistants are. “Chris Woods, 61, a four-time Scottish title winner with Rangers,” a recent appointment, so if he can’t take his blue-tinted glasses off would he give a feck if Tony didn’t play agin Ukraine? Stevie Woods (Celtic) has left the building – would he have had an opinion? I could be wrong (well, it happened once way back in the late 20th century) but I’m sure I saw wee Naismith (baldy, ugly and snarling as per usual) running around the practice field the day before the Ukraine game – IF he was there then he definitely would NOT give a feck if Tony was overlooked.
To be honest I’ve lost pretty much all interest in Scotland, given the role the SFA have had in toadying up to anything called Rangers, but Clark is a good coach (not ever for Celtic), but he has let himself down, ion my eyes, in playing so many guys that have some/any connection with a Rangers. The Paterson thing is particularly stupid – a good, young player that can’t get a game for his English club is an automatic pick when fit because …………..??? There are other examples of course, but you can fill them in yourself.

Thanks, ALMORE. He’s been keeping a low profile. I had a few pints ( and G & Ts ) with him in Stornoway the last 2 times I made it back. I’ve been stymied by the pandemic, but hope to get back there next year.
