ANYA WON’T RULE OUT CELTIC SWITCH

FLYING Scot Ikechi Anya has refused to rule out a £2million summer move to Celtic.
The 27-year-old Glaswegian has a year left on his deal at newly-promoted Watford who are back in the top flight for the first time since 2007.Anya admitted: “Whenever any team is linked with you it means you are doing something right. But I just focus on the football and if things materialise then they materialise.

“I don’t know anything about it. I just try to keep my mind on the football because that’s what I love. I just want to see how far I can go.

“I don’t ever cut myself off from anything. I am grateful for the opportunities that are before me.

“I wouldn’t say no to any sort of league – the German league, the Spanish league. I have been out in Spain before in my career. I just work as hard as I can to get the opportunities that come to me and try to grasp them when they come.”

Meanwhile, former Hoops striker Daryl Murphy admitted he rues not making the most of his life at Parkhead.

The frontman joined Neil Lennon’s squad in 2010 from Sunderland, but he failed to make an impact, scoring only three goals in 19 appearances.

Murphy, 32, who is now at Ipswich Town, revealed: “I always go back to it – it was probably the wrong place at the wrong time.

“When I got injured Georgios Samaras and Anthony Stokes got something like a hat-trick each in midweek in a game and you know you are not going to play if they keep doing that.

“To be fair, they did that all season. I can’t have any complaints, really. It was just bad timing for me.”
