Appellate body CEO taking sides

So the chief executive of the appellate body awaiting a decision to appeal says, “It’s crucial with league reconstruction being such an important issue for the game that we now draw a line under what’s happened”.

According to the SPL Commission the president of that same appellate body was one of the “directors of Oldco [which]must bear a heavy responsibility” for what happened.

Responsibility, however, is an unnecessary concept for the chief executive of the appellate body, who told the media “It’s not about trying to find scapegoats to take responsibility for what’s happened in the last 12 months.”

Note use of language, those responsible are now “scapegoats”.

Scapegoat, def: A person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.

Let’s not look for scapegoats.  Instead let’s stick to who Lord Nimmo Smith’s Commision blame, “the directors of Oldco”.  Including the appellate body’s president.

The appellate body is unfit as an appellate body and as a football association.  SPL clubs must look for a new playing environment.  Let the SFA and SFL run the grassroots game. They appear to want this anyway and I am sure SPL clubs will flourish when no longer restricted to opposition from Scotland.

    Griffiths comes with baggage (not forgetting his Tweets).

     

     

    A guy like him in Glasgow would become a problem if he didn’t screw the nut.

     

     

    He has ability and talent of that there is no question but so did Derek Riordan.

    Although not carbon copies of each other as players, I don’t think griffiths is a better player than Anthony Stokes?

     

     

    Same goes for Russelll at the moment, I think Stokes is the better player, though I rate Russell highly.

     

     

    Would like to see what McKay-Steven (sp) could do in the hoops mind, he is a prospect.

     

     

    It would cost us to do business with utd though.

     

     

    Which is why I expect we will bid for Charlie Austin when Hooper goes (if he is going, I hope it’s after the three qualifiers).

     

     

    I also wouldn’t be surprised if Stokes left (off field stuff). Then it who’d be interestingto see us test du’s resolve.

    Watched the Dundee v Utd game. Player that caught my eye was Stuart Armstrong. Thought he also looked good in the games played against us. Good physique and technique for a big man.

     

     

    Perhaps we should sign him instead of Russell or McKay-Steven? Anybody else of the same opinion?

    Here’s the thing about Hooper and this Summer.

     

     

    He’s under contract and we need his goals to get us into the CL.

     

     

    Keep him until we get there (touch wood, sell him if the right offer comes in and he wants to go, if not keep him until January and then sell him if an offer comes in.

     

     

    The money to be made from the CL outstrips any of the money we’d get from a sale in the summer so play the percentages.

     

     

    Should we fail to make the CL sell him anyway and recoup the money.

     

     

    It is win win for me.
