Appellate body CEO taking sides

826

So the chief executive of the appellate body awaiting a decision to appeal says, “It’s crucial with league reconstruction being such an important issue for the game that we now draw a line under what’s happened”.

According to the SPL Commission the president of that same appellate body was one of the “directors of Oldco [which]must bear a heavy responsibility” for what happened.

Responsibility, however, is an unnecessary concept for the chief executive of the appellate body, who told the media “It’s not about trying to find scapegoats to take responsibility for what’s happened in the last 12 months.”

Note use of language, those responsible are now “scapegoats”.

Scapegoat, def: A person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.

Let’s not look for scapegoats.  Instead let’s stick to who Lord Nimmo Smith’s Commision blame, “the directors of Oldco”.  Including the appellate body’s president.

The appellate body is unfit as an appellate body and as a football association.  SPL clubs must look for a new playing environment.  Let the SFA and SFL run the grassroots game. They appear to want this anyway and I am sure SPL clubs will flourish when no longer restricted to opposition from Scotland.

  1. Oh and these cries for us to move on. The MSM and scottish authorties are terrified of a backlash. If it comes and it spreads outwith Scotland all the chickens come home to roost.

    Now there’s a thought eh?

Fair enough, but if you want to stop supporting Celtic, no matter the reason, why come on a Celtic Supporters website?

One thing for sure that will kill the game in Scotland, is if the good guys give up.

  3. Voguepunter – right now what is the point in Scottish Football? Its a rigged game – run for the huns by the huns and we are their plaything.

As I said before – whether you like it or not Celtic need to act or lose around 20K of supporters.

    Its really pretty simple.

I will only not renew if Celtic FC do not fight this appalling state of affairs. If they do fight, I will be shoulder to shoulder. If they do not, they are complicit and not worthy of support…

  5. Richie – I still want to support Celtic – but right now, as you have seen, the game is rigged. It is pointless.

If Celtic want us all to rally behind them then lets see them take on the fight in an open manner. We will then get behind them and we can once again force change. In the last 3 years we have exposed cheating referees, anti catholicism at the heart of the SFA and forced (and I mean all supporters in Scotland) the huns to be put into div 3.

We have the necessary power – but its time that Celtic took them head on. They have NEVER been so vulnerable and we will never get another chance.

I’m seeing that Ally said he would have quit if they had had titles stripped. Looks like we won after all!

You do what you want to do,I will stick with the Celts.

If there are 25K at games in future,so be it,I will be one of them.

That’s the most galling thing – it’s as if the as soon as the findings were released the media have went into overdrive regarding the reformation of the leagues – it was one of the first topics to drip from Green’s mealy mouth. McCoist is in the papers today quoting fey precedents to get the ball rolling.

They are laughing at every team and every supporter in Scotland right now. Safe in the knowledge the establishment will hasten their return and the establishment’s guard dogs will ensure a title in super quick time.

    And football will die.

What galls me most about our Celtic administration is we lose nothing by calling this dirty game for what it is. Absolutely nothing.

Shout it. And shout it loudly.

  9. Kris Boyd…

I wonder when BDO will start asking these ex-huns for the loans back?

  10. Thindimebhoy on

I see booted out of Celtic Burley has had a pop at us “Philistines” in todays Record online

“Part – if not all – of the problem is that our governing bodies feel the need to act as soon as some Philistines shout from the rooftops”

Do I detect the slight whiff of people power paranoia amongst the MSM

No doubt getting Sevco back in asap will be beneficial to Burleys bottom line

Boyd deflects a killie shot AWAY from goal….hahahaha

I wasn’t referring to you bud. A couple of strange/unfamiliar names posted here just to say bye bye, hence my suggestion they start their own blog!

You, my man, come on here to debate and debate well.

Many Scots have died with similar thinking! Are you happy with the current state of affairs to be sheep-like in your actions?

  14. Snake,

No it was never any different – but in the past we felt that the club was trying to fight back. Its all changed now – we have succesfully exposed the cheating and lying.

The verdict in this case is full of holes. The MSM machinery is desperate it doesnt get exposed (move on PLEASE move on they plead).

They are incredibly vulnerable now – if Celtic come out and fight it (and indeed other clubs) then the SFA is holed below the waterline. It will be game over.

If Celtic dont then we all know where we stand and I will not give them a single penny ever again and scottish football is dead.

  15. Griffiths singlehandedly stuffs Killie

Some decent brave refereeing there too

  16. I feel sad for so called Celtic supporters who only watch them to see things being won.

I followed them through the worst of the Nineties and had a season ticket at Hampden.

Not getting the arguement that you get back at Sevco and the SFA by punishing Celtic.

  17. Griffiths hat trick gives a semi-final line up of Celtic, Dundee Utd, Hibs and Falkirk. Hope we have 2 games involving Hibs and Dundee Utd, in any order.

  18. Paul posted about the day our fathers and grandfather waited for. We have been told we are all en masse mentally ill for all of our lives and it was the same if not worse for our forefathers.

We owe it to ourselves and to our predecessors to confront it now. The MSM will howl but they are mortally afraid.

So Celtic – if any of you are listening – you have a very clear choise in front of you.

If Ogilvie is allowed to remain in situ then the game is finished in Scotland
