So the chief executive of the appellate body awaiting a decision to appeal says, “It’s crucial with league reconstruction being such an important issue for the game that we now draw a line under what’s happened”.
According to the SPL Commission the president of that same appellate body was one of the “directors of Oldco [which]must bear a heavy responsibility” for what happened.
Responsibility, however, is an unnecessary concept for the chief executive of the appellate body, who told the media “It’s not about trying to find scapegoats to take responsibility for what’s happened in the last 12 months.”
Note use of language, those responsible are now “scapegoats”.
Scapegoat, def: A person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.
Let’s not look for scapegoats. Instead let’s stick to who Lord Nimmo Smith’s Commision blame, “the directors of Oldco”. Including the appellate body’s president.
The appellate body is unfit as an appellate body and as a football association. SPL clubs must look for a new playing environment. Let the SFA and SFL run the grassroots game. They appear to want this anyway and I am sure SPL clubs will flourish when no longer restricted to opposition from Scotland.

I don’t advocate that the club do nothing. The statement issued by the club clearly indicates there’s a real dissatisfaction with what’s going on. If the club are going to achieve anything it will only be behind closed doors , with the support of other clubs. If that other support isn’t forthcoming we either have to get out of Scotland or chuck it. We’re not going to chuck it.
Nor do I advocate that fans do nothing , eg boycott , with publicly stated reasons, away games and possibly cup games also , although that would cost us financially
What I don’t get is the suggestion from some fans that they’re walking away from Celtic altogether.
If there is to be action from the fans then why not a heaving Celtic park , packed to the gunnels for every home league game and , if need be, boycotts of away games?
I just don’t get the walking away altogether part – where would we be if that happened in the past ? Not where we are now , that’s for sure.
Lets not allow one more example of favouritism blind us to how dominant a position we are in. One our fathers couldn’t have dared dream of. We should be revelling in these times , not allowing our enemies to detract from or devalue our dominance.

However there should be no Huns in the SFL either
The rules have been bent for them for over 100 years ….their rotten club was liquidated …yet they were accommodated and a place found for them in the SFL …..lets not forget that has it not been for fan power they would be in the SPL
The SFA actings in he LNS tribunal is prima facie evidence of institutional cheating
Collective responsibility implicates Ogilvie in the cheating of oldco …yet he is the senior office bearer in the appellate body ….not a scintilla of fairness or equity
This cannot continue …and the excuse that it was always thus is asinine and risible

In times of stress & trouble a certain section of posters appear like mushrooms, spreading doom & gloom everywhere. They never post when we are on a high but if there is a bad story they are everywhere. I do not trust them. I am as angry and upset as any fan on here at what I consider a set up. The SFA fed Nimmo a diet that would produce just one result. He did not question their integrity he bought it hook, line & sinker. O.K, we know that our Board made their feelings known in a coded but clear manner. They can and I’m sure will raise it at next SPl meeting but if the majority of other Clubs don’t come on board and appeal the verdict, then thats it. However I am totally clear what I will do, I will increase my support for Celtic and let the Huns know this is one Fenian who won’t lie down, I have absoulutely no doubt that the vast overwhelming majority of other Celtic Supporters will do exactly the same.

Sporting integrity is no more. Not disclosing £49m in payments to players they could otherwise not afford. Found GUILTY and fining a former club in liquidation £250,000 and stating they did not gain a sporting advantage is beyond belief.
Why did this commission, originally ordered by the SFA in FEB, who then stood down when the SPL became involved days later take until August to appoint Nimmo Smith, who then took until the last day of Feb of the next year to report?
Total disgrace. I am considering not renewing my season book of many years due to this blatant cheating.

The problem with that point is that only we seem to understand that they died .
If that was accepted , that they are a new team with no history etc then I wouldn’t be so disgusted at the LNS cover-up because it only dealt with RFC 1872.
