We are though, the pitch was like concrete, the ref was good until the last 15 or so mins, the wee team were well up for it, it was their cup final, fair play to them, they did their best,
We had quite a few who under performed tonight, but hey, the team was switched around, and maybes they weren’t too familiar with their roles.
Happy enough.
Embarressing is what happened to Arsenal last night, tonight we had a hard fought game, and we WON.
McCann in referring to Arbroath says, “us”…..anybody but Celtic.

There is no doubt that we have a swarm of HUN lurkers here who creep out from under their stones everytime we have a poor game. These guys hardly post at all in normal times. We are in last 16 Champions League, semi of CIS, 2nd round of Cup, 3 points clear in SPL with a game in hand. Read that ye Huns & weep.
In a calendar year when Killie win the league cup, the jambos win a salt ‘n’ sauce cup final, we win the league, take Barca to 3 – 3 over two legs and Arbroath players score more goals over 2 games than we do and still go out, 4 points separating 4 teams at the top in December and a plucky new start creates a stir in the lower leagues…
This armageddon stuff? Somehow I thought Armageddon would be more serious, more end of the world type stuff but we’ve had worse seasons.
Well we are through,but how many 50/50 tackles did we jump out off.I know conditions and standard of opposition was the reason,but we need to have a better attitude against inferior teams,or we are going to come a cropper one day

Glad for the win in the end. Arbroath played much better than I would have expected – they were certainly up for this game and were able to pass and break quickly. They were gifted far too many set pieces by the ref in the 2nd half and we did not deal very well with many of these.
Also, we can’t discount the fact that our players didn’t adjust their game to what looked like a very uneven pitch.

Get out more …..it may help
Fair play to Arbroath, they tried to pay, a couple of hefty challenges nearer the end when they were tired and frustrated, Robertson on Hooper, he was lucky to stay on.
Well done to Arbroath but a win is a win is a win and If I was a pro player I would certainly be watching myself on that ice rink. Passing and staying on your feet must have been horrendous. I for one would not criticise any of our players simply because of the atrocious conditions. HH
The conditions were not good and the ball bounced a lot so glad we got thru’…..but how poor was Kelvin Wilson tonight. He had an absolute shocker .
We need to work on our passing. There were periods when they were passing it better than us. we’re through though after a very frustrating night.
A difficult game on a difficult surface where players not comfortable on the ball. Arbroath worked hard and put us under pressure but we also invited trouble with unforced errors.
The big lad up front gave Wilson a hard time and that was unsettling too, so we were never in control.
However better judgement and better final ball would have unsettled them. As it was the incisive ball rarely materialised.
Summing up. “Phew!”
I think Tanner was auditioning for Traynor’s mob there.Passed with flying colours.

The romance of the cup. Difficult games on difficult grounds.. There are no photographs on a scorecard .. Cup football is about getting through..the records will show we won .. Nothing less . If u don’t like that tough.. We are through .. Onwards and upwards.. Still in all comps.. What’s not to like about that .. Oh that’s right ” sack the bored”.
