ARMSTRONG BID REJECTED

CELTIC have made their first move for Dundee United midfielder Stuart Armstrong.

However, it is believed a bid of around £1.5million has been rejected by the Tannadice outfit.

Hoops boss Ronny Deila has already admitted he is a fan of the player who still has 18 months of his current contract to run.

The Tayside club rate Armstrong in the £2.5million category and have also knocked back an advance from Premier League team Burnley.

The SPFL champions have already secured his team-mate Gary Mackay-Steven on a pre-contract.

Mackay-Steven is scheduled to arrive at Celtic Park in the summer. However Celtic may opt to go back in for both Dundee United players before the transfer window closes at the start of next week. Watch this space…
