CELTIC will move again for Stuart Armstrong once the League Cup semi-finals are over.
Dundee United have already knocked back a bid for the midfielder believed to be in the region of £1.5million.
However, the Tayside outfit should expect a second offer before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday.
The SPFL champions could be willing to meet the £2.5million asking price for Armstrong – but only if pre-contract signing Gary Mackay-Steven is part of the deal.
The Scotland winger will join the Parkhead side in the summer, but could sign before the deadline if United’s £250,000 asking price is met.
Burnley, too, are continuing to monitor the situation.
