As big a game as we’ll have for the rest of the season

470

I like the noises coming out of Ross County at the moment. Plucky optimism accompanied by comments about our Scottish Cup semi-final in 2010, when they fully deserved their 2-0 win. They are the proverbial team with nothing to lose, and make no mistake, they’ll fancy it.

They scored 2 against Motherwell, Aberdeen (in a defeat), Dunfermline and St Johnstone, 3 against Accies and Kilmarnock, and 5 against Dundee since last month. Hampden’s open spaces will see Celtic’s defence stretched wide.

After a disappointing summer and autumn we have a bit of form and focus but that goes on the line on Sunday. It’s as big a game as we’ll have for the rest of the season, bigger than Wednesday’s visit to Pittodrie.

I’m reassured by thoughts of Leigh Griffiths, and others, including Kris Commons, who enjoys trips to Hampden more than any player we’ve known, but this is a day when we’ll need to win a lot of individual battles.  It’s not a game I’d bet on.

Doing well. No depths the scum will not plumb nor no barrel deep enough that they will not scrape but ….the reality is they are getting a player off a team who exited a CVA but cannot get a game for them.

That’s something to crow about… Wtf.

HH G. Will see you soon no doubt.

Totally agree on the wildcat. Just leave it alone. I can understand the issues with interbreeding with ferrel cats, but the wildcat is beautiful in it’s own right. HH

Previously I didn’t bother about Celtic using Park’s of Hamilton buses to travel around the country, even though two of that company owners sit on the Sevco board. It wouldn’t be the case if I was making the decision but no big deal. Business is business.

Now that we know this company flexed it’s advertising muscle to force a newspaper to retract the revelation of a current Sevco director’s positive comments about an anti-Catholic anthem, Celtic should make alternative arrangements immediately.

Driving past Celtic fans on the route to Hampden on Sunday in a Park’s of Hamilton bus can only be an endorsement of that company’s public move this week.

    Don’t fall for it, Celtic.

Its that simple…Just leave them alone.

    But they are tag happy.

Hope the wee wildcats do a surprise attack on their tents while they are sleeping:)

  5. Don’t know if this has been commented on but I notice on the last blog that I think it was beatbhoy put up a link to the SPFL website and the honours that it lists for those residing in Govan. If you look at Airdrie and Livingston you will see strange honours attributed to them as well.

Ive been as straight as a bat about all this. They are a reformed club who had to reapply and start in in the bottom league. Like thousands of other clubs who faced the same fate as them the fans see them as the same emotionally. Unlike others who faced name changes, ground moves etc, they have had it emotionally easy.

  7. Nice to see EK know how many tickets they have to sell. Someone from EK or the SFA should really tell Celtic…..I have a bus to book or not….

  8. One thing I’ll say about Sevco. Is when one of guys in media, write critizing there club.they are shown the door our club just ignore it and do nothing the parks thing,is one many things that’s wrong with our club.as someone’s pointed out ditch Parks Buses. 1 player in and that’s our whack.wish until the summer if you believe that. sign up the players now bed them in get them to know there teammates and be Ready for a good crack in the Champions league but I have a feeling Ronny won’t be at Celtic next season.

I heard from a good source today that tickets for Kilmainham Gaol are selling oot fast. Mostly German and English tourists apparently

I’ve done the tour and it is really good so folks should pile in online now

Also. St Endas school in Rathfarnam is now a Pearse museum and I heard feedback recently that it is worth a look. Not far from the Ballsbridge hotel in a taxi

PS me and my chinas ate in that hotel for the paddy’s/rugby weekend so will warn them about the CQN invasion!

Yep – weird how our team’s return to glory coincides with only facing domestic opposition. You’ve got to wonder if there’s an explanation.

Think i read the EK Chairman say they could sell around 4000 so i would expect our allocation to be around half of the 10k capacity. Two stands each or something like that.

Met Almore at the match on Saturday. He brought me some fine literature all relating to this Easter. The programmes from Sinn Fein, the official stuff and some amazing reading material in the Irish Independent 1916 chronicles. Canny wait to see you all in Dublin again this Easter.

It’s noticeable that we seem to improve quite a bit after Christmas, in the last few years anyway. Europe is like a big dark cloud of negativity, once we get it out of the way we seem to kick on.
