CELTIC staged an action replay against Dundee that went largely unnoticed at Parkhead yesterday.

David Turnbull (pen), Kyogo Furuhashi and Matt O’Riley were the marksmen in the 3-0 victory over the Tayside outfit to ease two points clear at the Premiership pinnacle.

Coincidentally, it was the three same goalscorers when the champions kicked off their latest title bid when Brendan Rodgers’ return to Celtic Park saw the team overcome Ross County 4-2.

ONE…David Turnbull gets the show on the road as he lashes a penalty-kick past Trevor Carson.

TWO…Kyogo Furuhashi flashes a header beyond the helpless Dundee keeper.

THREE…Matt O’Riley (extreme left) completes the romp with a low drive. Images courtesy Celtic TV.

On that occasion, Turnbull thumped in a double, with one coming from the spot. Kyogo claimed an opening-day strike for the first time as a Celt at the third time of asking and O’Riley, without a goal in the first half of last season, got off the mark at the first attempt.

The Japanese hitman’s brilliant header against helpless Dens keeper Trevor Carson was his fourth of the new campaign to add to others at Pittodrie and Ibrox.

Amazingly, stylish midfielder O’Riley has now fired in three goals – the same amount as last term’s total.

Now Feyenoord in Rotterdam on Tuesday evening are in the Celtic firing squad’s sights.

The efforts of the Hoops hat-trick Bhoys against their Tayside opponents are worth a second look courtesy of those good folk at Celtic TV.
