Aspirations low for Paris but not meaningless

205

We’ve seen dead rubbers away to tier one Champions League teams before and they’ve not been pretty. Celtic still have Europa Cup football to target, but it is unlikely Brendan Rodgers will put too much hope into collecting the necessary points in Paris tomorrow evening.

It is more important that we mature our ability to perform at this level. We need to return to a similar environment next season packing more of a punch that we do right now. This is not the most aspirational aim a Celtic team has had in Europe, but I would settle for it.

When you ask yourself why has Budge, Milne and Petrie nothing to say about financial doping and believe Scottish Football should move on. What could possibly be the reasons for this?

I wonder who the very generous and anonymous benefactor is at Tynecastle?

Which club was randomly picked by the SFA to host the recent Scotland international match? And please don’t mention planning permissions and building contracts

And it’s just a coincidence Petrie is next in line to be the next head parasite at the SFA?

It’s just as well there are no conflicts of interest at play anywhere, isn’t it?

  5. SMSM media firefighting on the Crumbledone Alves still here for the title, he’s only dropped weeks since Caixinha got bagged no sign of the compen money to get McKinnes on board.

Neymar has been told he can carry on partying at Paris Saint-Germain as coach Unai Emery refuses to get tough.

The world’s most expensive player went clubbing in the early hours of Sunday morning – just a few days before the Ligue 1 giants take on Celtic.

Fresh from the 4-1 win over Nantes at the weekend, Neymar was spotted living it up and was also pictured leaving a London nightclub in the early hours of Tuesday night.

But PSG coach Emery says he has no problems with the Brazil forward being out.

    …………..

.Here’s hoping that it’s the Celtic who are partying tomorrow night !

    HH

  9. I also read that the Motherwell manager is trying it on already by stating ” He hopes the Officials do THEIR HOMEWORK on Celtic”…ahead of Sundays cup final.

Hang on a minute…what feckin “Homework”…aren’t Celtic the fairest team in the SPFL ?

I hope Brendan and the Bhoys put this Chump in his place on Sunday.

The man who will referee Celtic’s clash with PSG tomorrow night left Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger ‘revolted’ with a performance earlier this year.

Greek referee Tasos Sidiropoulos will take charge in the Parc des Princes just eight months after Wenger slammed his display in the 5-1 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich as ‘irresponsible’.

Sidiropoulos denied Arsenal a strong penalty claim as they led 1-0 before awarding a controversial one to Bayern for a Laurent Koscielny foul on Robert Lewandowski.

Koscielny was sent off and Arsenal’s hopes of a fightback were ended as they eventually lost the tie 10-2 on aggregate……………

Oh dear…IF Wenger is right about this ref…thats all we need ?

Interesting that there is now emerging a possibility that the reason Hunco don’t have McInnes is due to inability to pay compensation.

More interesting to me is that established media sources are lurching to wilful denial again much like they did previously even when burdened by the facts.

I don’t believe every journo is a Hun..in fact I categorically know this not to be the case.

I can’t quite work out why this collective media effort can be mustered to obscure reality. The Scotland needs a strong Rangers has been proven to be false.

I wonder how many years AFC need to come second before they are recognised as the established challengers to Celtic?

I understand that there will always be ‘establishment club’ bias and general resistance to change but it is mesmerising that the denial can be adopted whole scale ..

You’d think some of them would be able to reflect…

  16. CULTSBHOY,

Just read the suggested synopsis of Craig White’s book. There is a powerful (and very influential) organisation in Scotland that determines much of what happens here. They have a distinct liking for the deid team.
