  1. 3 games played, one win, one draw, one defeat. 4 points. Mid table form. if this continues then we will comfortably qualify for 2nd phase play off round.

  2. Bring Neil Lennon back to show Brendan how to defend AND carry out a mugging at the same time.

  3. glendalystonsils on

From the point of view of pride , tonight was a step towards proving we belong in that kind of company. Just a first step mind , but a crucial one .

I’m confident we’ll back it up in the remaining games .

  4. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Not too bad a result I suppose, although we would surely have won under Neil Critchley.

  5. Scales IMO is a young lad who wants to make a good life for himself in football.

I have a feeling that this young lad ,fluent in Irish ,wants to fight for a cause ,I think tonight he passed the test .HH

  6. Delighted for Brendan and the Bhoys. Delighted. A powerful point won and made.

Its Good To Be A Tim.

    Celtic Quick News CSC

    :}

  7. Liverpool look pretty ordinary

Leiipzig transition very quickly and will be a big threat in 5th, similar to previous games with them.

Their defence looks tailor made for our attack so will be a (fire) cracker

    PS

The Irish panel have caught the English disease of talking about Alexander-Arnold as if he is a mate

    ‘trent’

  8. Shortie – were their usual hunned-up snyde disgrace.

A few hun churnos will be chokin’ on their Broxi Burguers the nicht……

    Guid.

  9. Interesting that we didn’t do the aggressive press that Rodgers saud we would

    Did he rope a dope?

  10. Ordinary Joe

    😂😂😂😂😂😂 cracker

    Bring back Lex Baillie too

  11. Ordinary racist

I have your brown people essay on Humza and Anas saved,it is definetly not for reposting,

It showed what a gullible racist cretin you have evolved into.

Brown folk, black folk, they are all welcome,

Change your moniker as many times as you wish, boat chasers like you and your fellow boat chasers gobbleteer Dobyin, oops Darwin are seen thro in here.

We see you racists.we see right through you,it’s all very shallow, and remember Ordinary racists, park the racist bus,418/9 racists refugees are welcome, racists like you are not.

Prove it? Haha I could chap your door, but I leave you to your ignorance, confusion and racism

Hope not hate kev, your not that secure on your ip or vpn’s

Bye bye racist you fool no one

  12. Thoughts and observations after a wee while.

    1. Atalanta are not BVB – they also didn’t have their luck where everything went in.

    2. The only stuff I read on the Beeb gave us full credit for a smart/professuonal Euro-defending performance (no ‘backs to wall’ comments or similar).

    3. Surprised to see so much praise for Valle – although he worked hard, he gave the ball away more than any other player, for me – that will be badly punished on another night, so work to do there.

    Overall? Very pleased.

  13. Majestic Hartson on

    Absolutely delighted with that result.

I’m buzzing for Liam Scales in particular. Being loaned out, then looking to be on his way out of the club.

I’m sure I read recently that he got a degree when in Ireland thinking that he probably wouldn’t reach the top level.

Well he was at the top level tonight!

What a story and what big character he must have. Good on him.

  14. Morning bhoys – missed the game as it was a 3.45am kickoff here in Oz.

    What did I miss ? ;))

The blog comments prior to the game were – what – 70% couch, Meldrew and soilage-related ?

Fair play to those who fessed up for their faithlessness.

I went with JucoJames’ assertion that they were no Dortmund and we could get something out of it.

So some of us did see a positive result as possible.

Delighted for Brendan whose had to cop some big brickbats after BVB.

Delighted for our bhoys who – clearly – done us proud.

Now to porridge and a re-run of the match HH

  15. FANADPATRIOT on 23RD OCTOBER 2024 9:38 PM

I had a feeling today we would get a positive result HH

Scales and Trusty were immense but Valle is a player in the makingHH

    —-

I think Valle is our starting left back. Far, far stronger at one on one defending.

  16. First half,REO was superb.

At the weekend,Brendan SHOULD rotate.Idah suffering tonight, not match fit for example. We have the squad, same players can’t keep going to the well

    Kasper

    Tony,Trusty,Scales,Valle

Bernardo,Mc Cowan,You know Calmac will want to play.

    Forrest,Kyogo,Palma

They have to get game time.

Clutch of big games coming up.

  17. celtic dawn on 23rd October 2024 10:55 pm

To be honest i thought Valle went missing in the first half too much

    =======

first 15-20 mins he forgot his position and gradually improved as the half went on

    He was decent 2nd half

  18. Majestic Hartson

Scales studied and played for University College Dublin (UCD) before moving to Rovers

A player last year left Rovers to go to UVD and complete studies

    A cracking concept here
