Engels was fine, he was obviously playing in a deeper role than he has for us, he is by far our best “dead ball ghuy”.
Celtic have a policy of buying players young we can’t have it both ways, if we want UCL experienced players, we need to buy them or develop them, we choose to develop them, that takes time.
Engels is a superb signing.
BTW: I’ve no idea what you are talking about with regard to Liam Scales – he played left back for Aberdeen before BR&Co helped him develop as a top class CH.

Seen your posts to B78 looking, glad you got in.
That was strong defensive display,How did it go down with those around you?
We had a thumping win, unprecedented in recent CL Group history, to kick the campaign off.
We then had a thumping loss and a very dispiriting display of naivety in Dortmund.
And now, we have a brave and only slightly fortunate draw against a very good Italian outfit.
So, where are we when we face 2 home games v Leipzig and Bruges next. Optimists are talking of taking 4 to 6 posts from these games but……. the margins in CL Group stage are such that we could lose both fixtures and be back to “We’re gonna need a bigger Sofa” territory.
As we reach November to January period- suspensions and injuries begin to hit squads. If we were unlucky with these we might have to field a CB pairing from Welsh, Nawrocki & one of our more regular 3 ( CCV, Trusty & Scalesdini). We could be missing both Hattae & McGregor in midfield and we might lose Adam or Kyogo from our striker options.
I have no wish to dampen the mood- I am deliriously happy this morning- but it doesn’t mean a corner has been turned or that we’ve finally learned our lessons.
Brendan is engaged in the slow process of making us a more competitive team but he cannot make us CL contenders in the near future. Automatic qualification would come as a complete and welcome surprise to me. Making the play off stage is a realistic but still difficult outcome.
However, the Oddschecker site has us currently at 200/1 to end up in the bottom 8 which is a lot longer than we were before these 3 matches,

I’m expecting a positive congratulatory article from Paul with special praise for Brendan. Not long to wait

We dressed in Italian style clothing and never spoke to a soul.
The fans around us were frustrated and noisey .
There were other Tim’s dotted around our area .
They were well behaved , mature in age , and welcomed .
We entered the stadium early and left with 10 mins to go .
I was convinced that Atalanta would score once we left .
😂
