    While it impossible to objectively assess this game due to the cheating ref. It has to be said again that Greg Taylor is no where near the standard required at this level. He is not the only one he’s top of the list.

    It’s a rigged deck every time we face a team from the Big Leagues.

     

     

    Makes you wonder why we get so excited every year when we await the CL draw.

     

    We waste time speculating where we may pick up enough points to scrape into knock-out stages ( or Europa league)… and we get shafted every time.

     

     

     

    My new strategy for Europe is to see it as nothing other than a financial reward for winning the league, not as a potential for progress.

     

     

    Win the league,

     

    qualify for the Champions League,

     

    collect £20,000,000.

     

     

    Fill the Champions League squad with fringe players and players from the youth team.

     

     

    Keep first team squad for domestic football.

     

     

    The fact that I am typing this with one finger shows how disinterested I am rather than watching this charade.

    I agree it wasn’t a red. A yellow but not red. Maeda does not initiate the contact, the atletico player kicked through him.

     

     

    So that said, we also have to question our decision making at this level. When will we get street smart ? Why is Maeda doing that in a nothing area with little or nothing to gain ?

    MOR and Bernardo are miles off it tonight. I really like Matty but I don’t see anything in Bernardo – rather see our players in there – Holm, Iwata..

    I dont understand why we bother playing Kyogo tbh – he must hate playing in Rodgers team. He has made countless runs and not one attempt to play him in. Why bother playing him if we dont play to his strengths.

     

     

    He is not a striker to take ball to feet so why bother playing him ?

    Brendan better change things to shut up shop in the second half or we face a mauling . Holm on for MOR who is inneffective and Iwata to help plug the gaps in the defence . Maybe Oh for kyogo too for a bit of height and physical presence .

     

     

    Absolutely sickening the way we have been treated by the officials .

    At Madrid are still a horrible cheating outfit built in the mould of 74, we need a defensive midfielder Mcgregor wants to go back all the time his legs are gone. This is our biggest problem that and full backs who get caught with a diagonal over the top, none of the midfield are capable and Pallma will need to come off or he is getting a red card. Maeda was very unlucky the cheat Hermoso got him sent off.

    Game spoiled by the red card. We were doing just fine up to that point. These freeze frame shots should not be used to make decisions. In real time that was barely a foul by Maeda – he was pulling his foot out of the tackle.

     

     

    Since then we have been chasing shadows. AM know how to make the extra man count. We look really out of our depth from midfield through to the front. Bernardo is too lightweight. Not a good header from Callum to set up Griezman, but a quality finish. As was his pass for the second – pinpoint from 40 yards.

     

     

    Done watching this – hopefully the bhoys can get out without an embarrassing defeat.

    Game over …get Kyogo , CCV , O’Reilly , Johnston and McGregor off …we need them for Sunday ..who cares if it’s 6 …prioritise Brendan ..time to test your squad and avoid potential injuries

    so why didn’t celtic complain when a ref with potential grudge was offered the game ? we are a wee club because our board accepts the status!

    Of course it’s rigged, we all know that and really should have no complaints, take the money and run, that’s the strategy, I feel for the manager and players, I really do.
