KevJungle makes a valid point about how players who may have been struggling were supported in the past by the Celtic support. The relevant words being supporters and support.

Good morning CQN
Another fine day to be a Celt
Fairly uninspiring display yesterday brought the desired outcome.
Another clean sheet, FWIW … and the opposition didn’t come close to scoring.
Positives: we rested a half dozen or more before a big week.
Signings.
We’ve got four games before the window closes … so, while I am not demanding new faces this week …
… Martin’s capacity to be extensively involved will likely diminish quickly ….
… so his part (simplistically “get me these 3”) needs to be closed off quickly.

Not that important in the general scheme of things; being in the next round in cup games is all that matters, but I just looked again at the match ‘stats’ – 48% – 52% on the BBC website how is this even remotely accurate? It must have been at least – 20% – 80%.

We’re still in the Cup, still in Europe and second in the league.
A bit like Captain Smith looking at the nose of Titanic touching the water and saying, well the deck is still above water…
We are running on fumes and we will very shortly run out off time.
BBC Scotland’s sports department quite obviously hate us. After yesterday’s game, it was all about how well Auchenleck had played. After the Falkirk game, it was exactly the same. No mention that Falkirk put the league leaders out of the Cup at Tynecastle on Saturday.

Can I ask for your prayers for the repose of the soul of my niece Lisa, who sadly passed away at the weekend. She was only in her early 40’s. For many years she’s been battling against her drug addiction. She lost that battle on Saturday night when her body finally gave up. Please add her family left behind at this tragic time.

Richard Wilson, the bbc online guy is a bitter wee type it seems.
The type we get hunterloping on here.
Not as bad as those who are asking why we haven’t signed anyone yet only 2 weeks after we ripped up the play book of a recruitment guy brought in to replace the team who did the job before.
The team who brought us :
Jota, Abada, CCV, Hatate, Starfelt, JJ, GG, Kyogo, O Riley, Kuhn, AJ, Hart, Mooy and others. Of course there were plenty of misses probably 1 for 1 but that’s the game of course. Most of that team won 5/6 trophies and a treble from a position of weakness.
Not seen much since when exactly ? Ah yes. Since we brought back a divisive and self serving narcissist to be in charge of football. We have hardly signed a player since then. Certainly no one who has potential to grow in value.
Maybe the penny is dropping for those whose bitterness could not rise above blaming Lawwell.
Maybe it never will for some though. Some whose own personal jealously of individuals who have made good can’t allow them to see when the success of Celtic is as close to the glass ceiling as it will ever be in their lifetimes.
Still the seeds of ripping the club apart were sown and I have still not seen a plan from anyone which leads to better results than we have seen this past 2 decades. Lots of entitled crap about what folk (experts) don’t want of course. No one with a clue about how we achieve better.

FWIW Michel – Ange Balikwisha is the perfect example of what we are up against in the transfer market. A stark reminder of what’s frequently available for a mere 5M of our pounds.
In Balikwisha’s case MON can experiment and mentor in a Cup Tie, but it’s not looking good for this punt. He seems like a nice boy with a good first touch, but no second, third, etc . We might be doing well to get the player loaned away at the start of his 5yr contract! – like the daisy chain of players that preceded him.
The window is now open I’d prefer loan deals until the entire process is reviewed and revised hopefully with better judges to carefully pick our way through the football transfer minefield. We’re back trading blows in the same price range as Sevco, so anything can happen in the next five years. The ‘tightening of purse strings’ always ends one way at Celtic, they even wanted to make Jock Stein the New Celtic Pools Manager, how’s that for cheek?
If MON pulls off this league title, he’ll be a Celtic god untouchable by any board competent or incompetent.

Reluctance to spend?, no wonder some might agree, Seb Tounekti funnily enough same price is somewhere on the same spectrum of millions of pounds of wee Celtic’s clung onto’s . All transfers are punts’ ©️ SFTB, nowadays £5M is just the new entry level product.
In Balikwisha’s case MON can experiment and mentor in a Cup Tie, but it’s not looking good for this punt. He seems like a nice boy with a good first touch, but no second, third, etc .
