Plenty of possession and aggressive pressing from AZ but only one meaningful save for Joe Hart in first half . We have gifted them both their goals. Could go either way .
And we hardly have defensive reinforcements on the bench. Bitton? Too slow. Soro? Too erratic.
Bolingoli? Bomb scare.
Big Tam has played well but will be out of gas soon. Turnbull and McGregor also struggling with the pace of the game. I think we are in bother. Hope I’m wrong. We need another Kyogo goal in first 5 minutes.

Well, the early goal did calm the nerves, shame it was only for a few mins. Their second goal was a joke – really poor technique by Starfelt when under no pressure.
Let’s see what Ange does at HT. We’re under a lot of pressure in midfield, and Rogic is struggling to find any time on the ball. Other than the comedy goals, we’ve done ok and are matching them in all areas. The problem is our central defense which just looks shaky, especially with the long balls pumped up field.
Need to keep this at 2-1 for a long period. I fear AZ will find too much energy for us if they get a sniff of a win.

If hart had gone in full pelt and wiped the boy out we would be down to ten!! the issue was he was a fraction of a second too slow to react but when you think your CH is going to cushion it back to you it takes a fraction of a second to react if he doesn’t. Harrison and Sutton are being arses!!
We are being pressed hard by a very good footballing team and a very noisy opposition crowd, it is showing up those that cannot play at this level and under this pressure. Big team talk and use of subs for the boss now.

Can’t believe Welsh is getting any blame for their first goal. It hit his shoulder as he was letting it go back. Joe Hart completely at fault for not stepping forward and easily clearing that ball.
