BIRTHDAY Bhoy Alistair Johnston, 27 today, has promised the Celtic fans he will be “back soon”.
The Canadian international right-back has missed the last for the last nine games after being forced off in the Champions League play-off first leg against Kairat Almaty at Parkhead in August.
Johnston took to Instagram to let the supporters know he much he appreciated their best wishes and sent an optimistic message: “Thank you, back soon.”

CELTIC VIEWS…Alistair Johnston speaks to Celtic TV.
Brendan Rodgers said: “Ali Johnston will join us probably the week leading into Dundee after the international break. He is working really well.”
While Johnston has been out with a hamstring problem, Anthony Ralston and Colby Donovan have deputised.
The injury wiped out any hopes the defender had of playing in Canada’s two upcoming friendlies against Australia on Saturday and Colombia week today.
Ironically, Ralston and Donovan are both involved with Scotland at both levels over the next week and a half.
Ralston is in Steve Clarke’s World Cup squad for the Hampden double-header against Greece tomorrow night and Belarus on Sunday.
Donovan is involved in the Under-21 set-up for their European Championship encounters against Gibraltar and Azerbaijan.
