‘BAD BOY’ NAISMITH FACES BAN

STEVEN NAISMITH faces a ban after his sly kick on the grounded Jonny Hayes at Tynecastle on Saturday.

The Hearts forward escaped a yellow card from referee John Beaton, but now faces a sweat to discover if he will be disciplined by the SFA, who are likely to review the incident.

Naismith, 31, on a season-long loan from Norwich City, was involved in a clash with the Celtic winger just before half-time.

The former Scotland international was clearly seen kicking the Irishman and then bending over him to yell something.

The match official failed to punish Naismith, but if retrospective action is to be taken by the Hampden beaks then the disciplinary issue
will need to be raised by
3pm tomorrow.

Naismith was eventually booked in the second-half for another crazy kick at Jozo Simunovic.

In fact, the little frontman was more than fortunate to remain on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes after taking an obvious dive in search of a penalty-kick in the first-half. The ref waved away the appeal, but he could so easily have flashed a yellow card for simulation.
