BALDE SHOCK CALL-UP

CELTIC’S £1.5million misfit Amido Balde has been given a shock international call-up by Guinea-Bissau.
The 24-year-old striker, who has managed only one goal this season – on his debut for Belgians Waasland-Beveren – has been included by coach Paulo Torres in his 40-man provisional squad.
A January switch to Hapoel Tel Aviv failed to spark the frontman who failed to claim a solitary effort after five starts and four substitute appearances for the Israelis..

Guinea-Bissau have been drawn in Group E and open their campaign away to Zambia on 13th June. Torres will bring his squad together next week before chopping it to 23.

Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon signed Balde from Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaeres for his potential, but he scored only two goals in his debut campaign and Ronny Deila shipped him out on loan during the August transfer window.
He still has four years of his deal to run and will return to Parkhead next month, but it is unlikely he has a future at the SPFL champions.
