Benfica will arrive in Glasgow tomorrow without having played a competitive game since 2 September, when they thumped Nacional 3-0 in Lisbon. They arranged a friendly against Real Betis on Wednesday in an attempt to prepare them for this week’s Champions League challenge but the lack of meaningful football is less than ideal, especially at a time when clubs are looking to build sharpness.
Celtic were idle for two weeks before Saturday but have played nine competitive games this season compared to Benfica’s three. They also have the benefit of not having to sacrifice a day’s preparation to travel.
Fitness late in the game, perhaps accentuated by the use of substitutes, could be crucial. Celtic’s best chance of winning this one will come in the second half. Run the lungs out of them, Celtic.

Neil Lennon will ignore the fact that Benfica have played only three competitive games in the run up to Wednesday’s fixture. The Finns and the Swedes were in mid-season and we know what happened. Last Saturday we were spun another fairytale that half the St. Johnston team were down with a mystery bug and it didn’t stop them winning the match. Teams without competitive football are generally vulnerable in the early minutes of a game and the final stages. This current Celtic squad are clearly inspired by the test against these European sides and roll on Wednesday night.

I think the day will come when geo thermal energy will need exploited.
Everything is down to cost. Onshore gas drilling was considered too expensive at one point but now demand dictates otherwise. Eventually this avenue will be exhausted, then we will see the money being invested into other areas such as geo thermal.
It can be done. Just takes a load of cash and time.

As for supporters commenting on the conduct of other supporters,well you being a regular attender home and away will see that certain individuals in our midst are well capable of giving people ample opportunity to beat them with a stick. One example I have already mentioned from Saturday I can give you another 2 examples.GBr behind the goal hanging on to the ball unnecessarily when it went out of play midway through the second half with the score balanced at 1-1 just to impress his pals or the dafties leaving early to make their way to Tesco for their cargos which they tried to blatantly carry back to their coach in the coach park in full view of Taysides finest.I blame it on their education personally

as I said it can and should be done now, only problem is, it will affect the market in that the support industries required are far less than the current methods, has a small percentage of the money invested in nuclear had been invested we would likely be paying buttons for electricity, that does not suit anyone.
The support industries for the existing energy sources are labout intensive, apart from initial build geotherm would not takeup the numbers the existing support industries do.
IMO its wanted because it simply does not keep enough people in work.
Oh and its too clean, another massive labour intensive support industry.

one Is Not Allowed to consume alcoholic refreshments
