I doubt there has ever been a series of home games in our history as concentrated as what lies ahead for Celtic. We have three in the next eight days, kicking off a series of nine at home in the next 12 league fixtures.
I know what you’re thinking, the fact that we’ve played nine away and only five at home explains our poor start to the league campaign, but all that should now correct itself….. Form this season is comparable only to season 2003-04, when after drawing a blank in the opening game away to Dunfermline, Celtic won 25 consecutive league games.
That run came to an end when Henrik Larsson was rested for the start of the visit of Motherwell. We had just beaten Barcelona and were on our way to a 0-0 draw in the return game. At the time the draw didn’t matter much but it left Celtic four games short of the world record, achieved by Eusabio’s Benfica. Since then Dinamo Zagreb eclipsed the Celtic record but fell one short of Benfica’s.
World records are not easy to break, Celtic would need to win every game between now and the split in April simply to match Benfica’s 29 game winning run (would be an appropriate reward for those who’d travelled to Dingwall for the game).
If we win all 12 of the coming fixtures dominated by home games, Celtic will be third and fourth in the world record consecutive league game winning list. Impossible. Right?
Let’s worry about Hamilton Accies tomorrow and see what the players can achieve thereafter.

i can tell you the real story for £5.
Following the draw for the second round of the Champions League, holders Real Madrid have been installed as favourites to win the competition. But Barrie McKay believes that “Rangers” have as good a chance as anyone.
“We are playing as well as anyone and are getting back to our best. We are undefeated in Europe this season and none of the other sides will fancy coming to Ibrox.”
A pal was talking to Kris Commons on Saturday, asked if he was going to Hibs in January,…..’no chance…’ was the answer……

Just watched Sportscene, Hearts “goal” that was chalked off, whit a joke, it’s actually now just acceptable that the officials are blatantly cheating, what’s even better is it the Govan mob are still light years behind us……. Happy days
hahaha i watched it also, incredible offside decision !!!!!
The fix is in for the hun to finish 2nd and dont think for a nano second there will be a problem with any sort of licence problem for them, the SFA will will sort all that out for them.

Just for clarity and repeating previous, I have seen the tender for safety netting at ibrokes, the work to be carried out beginning January. Only down date, now confirmed, is if they get a home cup draw.
This is fact!

I was wondering if anyone is aware of any plans Celtic might have for the 25th of May next year.It would be great if the park was to be opened to pay tribute to the Lions.I realise the proximity to the Scottish cup final that we hope to be involved in but we don’t even need a game just a gathering to pay tribute to the team and our greatest manager.

A great idea, ask the government to declare it a public holiday, the greatest achievement in the history of Scottish Football, I’m sure them and plod will be thrilled to accomodate us. Not being sarcastic I hope the club do as you say .

Lee the grass is blinking on the touch line at the Hearts goal, I am just glad that these decisions won’t effect us as we are miles in front of the rest…….. long may it continue (us being ahead not the cheating :-)
I thought I left it in here…no?…Oh well, I’ll try next door…
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi may have dominated the Ballon d’Or in recent seasons, but Barrie McKay thinks team-mate Martyn Waghorn could win the award this year.
“Wags has been brilliant for us. He scored loadsogoals in the championship and has even got one this season. His goals will help us to win the league and he could win this award too”.

Incredible piece of skill from the Hearts player to be ahead of Wallace who was on the goal-line and still manage to score!

No one is disputing that or disagreeing with you. There is work to be done and that will absolutely require debris netting.
The debate is over what type of work. There are, I have been very reliably informed, cranes and welders working.
There are, according to the response to the FOI request posted by Kitalba earlier, most likely paint works and water ingress repairs to be carried out.
All of this type of work would require debris netting.
As for the problem with a home cup draw, they are due an away fixture. I’m sure the luck of the draw will help them!
All IMHO of course!

GTTF
The fact that the ref spoke to the linesman made it even more ridiculous as Beaton probably knew Lee played him on……. I was listening to SSB the other day and Gordon Dalziel mentioned he was speaking to a former prominent ref at Ibrox, so much for them being impartial ……aye right
Mark Hateley thinks that Barrie McKay could be like a new Mark Hateley.

do you think the GB have changed the songbook at CP and how?
I certainly feel they grabbed the bull by the horns when lennie wanted to bring the thunder back and some of the stuff they do raises the hairs on the back of the neck. A couple of things have been howlers.
Any GB on ? what do yous think?
netting at Ipox…..has got to b a non-starter…..how small hav the holes to be to stop any and all derbris…..

Not a good idea to plant thoughts of world records into our supporters head at this stage of the season, once we’ve won the treble maybe then, but certainly not before. A bad idea. I still listen to Clyde SSB (someone has to!) and cringe when some of our supporters come on and talk about going thru the season undefeated and how no one can touch us a league of our own 15 in a row etc. Reminds me of another team who’s supporters used to do the same.

Maybe the big nets getting put up at ipox are for waggies shooting practice, infact come to think of it maybe his shooting is why the stands are falling down to start with.
Was just an idea guys that i thought was a reasonable idea to open the park to season ticket holders and anyone else that was wanting to come along to thank the Lions…could use it as a charitable event for the Celtic foundation ?
Has big Peter got the green hardhats with 67 printed on the side on sale yet? I need an xxl one for me and an XL one for wee shades , good stocking fillers me thinks.
