BERGET’S REVENGE MISSION

CELTIC loan flop Jo Inge Berget is gunning for revenge when Malmo take on the Hoops in the Champions League shoot-out.
The Norwegian winger was axed after only six months of his temporary deal and returned to Cardiff City at the turn of the year.
He made his debut in the disastrous 4-1 thumping from Legia Warsaw in the Polish capital only 48 hours after agreeing the move to join his fellow-countryman Ronny Deila at Parkhead.
Berget scored two goals in the 6-1 success against Dundee United in Glasgow in August, but made only three starts after that before returning to the Championship side who promptly scrapped his contract.
The 24-year-old left-sided attacker believes he knows the weaknesses in Deila’s team and has promised to share his information with the Malmo’s coach, Age Harelde.
Berget, speaking of his brief spell at Parkhead, said: “It started when we did poorly in the Champions League qualifiers against Legia. Then we had dome luck, but then went out against Maribor.”I got a good start in the league with two goals in the first home game, but, after that, there were not a lot of games for me.

“Hopefully, I can now take some revenge.”

Berget has featured four times for Malmo in the Champions League qualifiers and starred in their dramatic 3-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg in the last round, with his side going through to the play-off meeting with the Hoops on a 3-2 aggregate victory.
