ALEXANDRO BERNABEI
will almost certainly be in the Celtic squad for the visit of Hearts on Sunday.

The left-back, who cost £3.75million from top-flight Argentinian club Lanus in the summer, will be available for selection, despite his arrest over an alleged drink-drive offence at the weekend.

Bernabei, 21, has yet to make a first-team appearance in a competitive encounter with Greg Taylor in excellent form in the wins over Aberdeen, Ross County and Kilmarnock.

However, the South American defender is a reliable stand-by and will have an important part to play when the games come thick and fast in the forthcoming months when the Champions League fixtures kick it.

Ange Postecoglou, speaking about Bernabei, told the Daily Record: “Yeah, there was an incident earlier in the week.

“Now there are processes taking place externally and internally. When they come to a conclusion, we’ll take the appropriate measures.

“He’s training and available for Sunday.”

Midfielder Reo Hatate, who has played for just over an hour after being injured in the opening-day 2-0 win over the Dons, will also be available for the match against Robbie Neilson’s Tynecastle outfit who were beaten three times at Parkhead last season – 1-0 and 4-1 in the league and 3-2 in the Premier Sports League Cup.
