Bernardo and Sinisalo both within development strategy. “Nailed on” England manager

193

Sky Sports reports that Celtic have agreed terms with Benfica for Paulo Bernardo and with Aston Villa for goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo are both encouraging.  Both players are 22 years old and well within the ‘young prospect’ category.  News of Kasper Schmeichel’s impending arrival caused concerns that Brendan had navigated away from our developmental strategy.

Sinisalo is a full Finland cap and made 50 appearances for third-tier Exeter City last term.  That’s too much of a gap to bridge to Champions League level, but enough to establish the player’s credentials.

We are unlikely to learn the full details of the deal with Benfica for Paulo in the short term.  After successful experience with both clubs with Jota, Benfica will surely want a large cut of any resale value for a player who is already a regular in the Celtic team.

We are still filling in the gaps created at the end of last season but these deals would represent solid progress before the start of the season.

This morning’s news that Gareth Soutgate has resigned as England manager will remind you that last year a leading Scottish newspaper, found someone prepared to say Michael Beale was “nailed on” to become England manager and that he could lead them to World Cup glory.  This is the world in which we try to achieve objective football comment.

The Donald has visited her family home in Tong, Lewis, lot of family connections still there.

There are of course MacLeods on Skye, but we dont talk about them…

Like it or not , the Donald is directly Scottish his mother being an economic migrant.

I believe its the same MacLeods on Skye ( MacLeods of Harris ). Could be worse , he could be a Campbell.

And, I am a Campbell from Islay. So behave.

In other news, Benfica got more money out of Jota’s journey from Benfica to Celtic to Saudi than Celtic got. I hope that this doesn’t happen when Bernardo leaves.

And…Scotland’s Women’s team put in a good shift v Serbia today.

Might be in a minority ….

But, as a person, Gareth Southgate doesn’t bother me.

I think his failures are talked up by desperate types darn sarf.

England reached one World Cup semifinal in fifty years (1990).

    He matched that in 2018.

England had never come close to troubling the finals of the Euros in their history (even when it was a four team tournament).

Southgate got them to the finals twice in a row.

In our time of need, we got the bunnet

     And he flourished

     feck the huns

     and their stories….

    …………………………

Actually we were conned robbed and lied to by the Bunnet.

The Bunnet sleekitly sacked uppity Stein educated Lou Macari, after saying that the then manager, Lou Macari, needs to be properly backed away from the Wayne Biggins recruitment levels, during his wee saviour road trips.

But he proved to be 2 faced and publicly grandstanded his sacking of Lou Macari, and replaced him with Tommy Burns [ RIP ] a move which gifted the Six in a row Hun Juggernaut the next Three league titles on a plate.

All respect to the late Tommy Burns who honestly admitted that he thought the Celtic manager’s job had come far too early for him…but he had to take the job as Celtic might not come calling again.

McCann sacked Macari’s replacement after Three years of pitiful failure, and brought in Wim Jansen [ RIP ] who won a league an cup double before being scunnered to the edge of the cliff by McCann’s “Wee Man Syndrome” issues and constant interference in football matters, as wily Wim was proving to be one tough nut to crack for McCann, who was seeking Wim to be a cuckolded toothless puppet which Wim was never going to be, so Wim jumped rather than give the little false idol the opportunity of pushing Wim out the door.

    Rest in Peace Wim Jansen.

I think McCann was utterly jealous of Wim’s handsome Timmy curly hair.

Just one of the facts that the western media cannot handle and the guy speaking here is being trashed all day on western media because he spoke the “real” truth.
