‘BEST IS YET TO COME,’ WARNS DEMBELE

MIGHTY Moussa Dembele reckons he should have scored more than one goal against Sevco Rangers – and insists he will be even better in the second half of the season.
The 20-year-old Frenchman has netted 19 goals so far this term, including five against Mark Warburton’s side.
Dembele levelled the scores at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon before a Scott Sinclair winner gave the champions all three points.
The powerhouse frontman said: “It is nice to score, but I should have had more. Of course, I hit the crossbar after the interval, but, over the season, I think I could have had more than 19.
“I am happy. I am pleased, but I think I can do better. There is still more to come from me.
“I am still hungry. I want to beat my numbers when we come back in the second part of the season.
“I don’t know why I always score against Rangers (sic). I don’t treat these games any differently to any other games.
“It is nice to score in games that are big, that lots of people watch on TV, but I don’t care who I score against – I just want to win.
“I enjoy every goal I score, it doesn’t matter who it is against. You know in any game that you will always get chances and it feels good when you take them.”
The Hoops have gone 24 domestic games without defeat and are also chasing a domestic Treble.
For Dembele, though, it is all about keeping it going in order to make sure that the season returns as much as it can.
He said: “I have been doing this all of my life and I love it. I want to win. Winning trophies and being successful is what it is about.
“You have to prove that you are the best and I think that we have been doing that this season.
“I think we will come back even stronger after the break.
“We have so much confidence as a team, but we are not trying to look at what we could achieve just now. We want to make sure that we are winning games and scoring goals.
“It is not about what I do or what any other player does. It is all about the team. We want to win everything that we can and be successful. If we can do that, then it will be a good season.
“But I am happy now. It feels good to be at the top of the league and to be scoring goals. It is all I want.”
