Billy Dodds nails Rangers on tax

Billy Dodds, who was named by the BBC as a beneficiary of Rangers Employee Benefit Trust, wrote in today’s Sunday Herald on the subject.  He alleges Rangers paid him money, which should have been taxed as income, through an EBT.

Dodds wrote, “David Murray came to me and asked if I would receive a payment that was due to me, after tax, through the EBT trust.   And I said that I would.   It was money that was owing to me when I had six months left on my contract and I moved to Dundee United. After the tax was deducted, that money was put in the trust fund.”

What happened to the “tax… deducted” is the crucial question.  Dodds is clear.  This was money due to him through his contract of employment which should have been taxed.  The seriousness of the allegations against Rangers just cranked up a notch – and from a surprising source.

Packie Bonner gave my sons and I a guided tour round CP, in Brady’s reign.

Sitting on a couch in the foyer, was a big young lad.

Packie said that he was an American boy, ver for a trial.

    His name was Brad Friedel.

I wonder what happened to him?.

  9. They’re dipping their toes in. Is dodds the first to say – yes it happened to me, I had one. Paul blogged a while ago about how they have poo pooed stories and then said ‘oh yes, it did happen’. is this the end game in the revelations to the loyal, salt of the earth, peepil (is it peepil or peepul) about the goings on. Individuals coming out to admit an ebt which they thought was nowt more than a gentleman’s agreement. Now they’re like a victorian syphillitic whore – not looking good and there’s nothing anybody can do about it. Out with it bears, truth is the beginning of healing, cry sob wail scream til your tearless then start again if you believe in your club

(Loreen does it for me, phhh.)

The punters that have lost bets in league and cup tournaments if they are stripped of their honours.
