CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS celebrates his 28th birthday today on the sidelines while Celtic endure turmoil on the pitch.
The calm authority of the rock-like American international centre-back is sorely missed with the Hoops failing to keep a clean sheet since Wilfried Nancy took over seven games ago.
The wobbly Hoops rearguard have leaked 15 goals in that run while also suffering five defeats, the most recent coming at Fir Park last night when Motherwell eased to a deserved 2-0 triumph.
Carter-Vickers, who has been stricken with Achilles tendon problems and has missed the last 16 games, will watch the Glasgow derby against Danny Rohl’s Ibrox side from the Parkhead stand on Saturday in the first game of 2026.

HAPPIER TIMES …Cameron Carter-Vickers jumps for joy as the jubilant centre-back and Adam Idah rush to join the celebrations with Daizen Maeda and Kasper Schmeichel after the Premier Sports League Cup Final penalty-kick shoot-out triumph just over a year ago.
It was just over a year ago since CCV celebrated a Premier Sports League Cup victory over Rangers, then managed by Philippe Clement, following the dramatic penalty-kick shoot-out after a 3-3 draw at Hampden.
The centre-back, who cost the Hoops £6million when he joined in the summer of 2022 after an impressive season-long loan from Spurs, will be hoping for a Celtic win at the weekend as an ideal, if belated, birthday gift.
CQN and all our readers would like to wish CCV a happy 28th birthday and we hope he overcomes his injury problems to return to action at some stage in the new year.
