CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS will celebrate his 27th birthday today preparing for Thursday’s derby encounter against Philippe Clement’s side at Ibrox.
The rock-solid USA international central defender is pivotal to Brendan Rodgers’ plans as he takes his squad across Glasgow for the first game of 2025.
It will be the third time Carter-Vickers has lined up against Rangers this season after playing his role in the previous Premiership confrontation – a 3-0 triumph for the champions at Parkhead in September – and the Premier Sports League Cup Final penalty-kick shoot-out success at Hampden earlier this month.

The centre-back, who cost the Hoops £6million when he joined in the summer of 2022 after an impressive season-long loan from Spurs, has happy memories of Ibrox.
Carter-Vickers scored one of his first Celtic goals – the winner in a 2-1 success at the venue in April in his debut campaign – and a repeat in a couple of days’ time would be the ideal, if belated, birthday gift.
The centre-back’s consistently outstanding performances have attracted admiring glances from elsewhere, but no-one at Parkhead is in a rush to part with the Southend-born performer who is under contract until June 2029.
