‘BLAME PLAYERS’ BITTON

NIR BITTON insists Celtic are still on track despite their embarrassing defeat against Molde.
The Israeli midfielder, who was sent off and will miss the next game against Ajax, believes the club are on course as they build for the future.

He said: “We’re going in the right direction. After the two losses to Molde, it’s hard to say, but we need to keep going and believe in ourselves.

“As I say, we’re trying to build something here and it will take tBTY2PfJYGB9cdkwgfPAQWo_nBAvV804tYv_6-tRYrrcime. There are a lot of young guys in the team, a lot of new faces and we’re trying to improve ourselves.

“We are all united, we are all together. If somebody wants to blame someone, it’s the players’ fault.”

Bitton remains positive the Hoops can still qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League, but admitted that back-to-back failures against the Norwegians have left them on the back foot.

He added: “With all due respect, after you lose two games to Molde, you cannot think about winning against Ajax and Fenerbahce.

“If we have the smallest chance to go through, we will do everything we can.”
Celtic need to win their two remaining matches to qualify.
