CELTIC keeper Kasper Schmeichel blanked Scotland in the scoreless stalemate in the World Cup qualifier in Copenhagen tonight.
And Hoops target Kasper Dolberg, who snubbed the Hoops for Ajax on deadline day, fired blanks before getting the hook on the hour mark.
It was a great point for the Scots against the group’s top seeds and now Steve Clarke’s men go again on Monday night when they face Belarus in Hungary.
Their opponents had the worst possible start to the bid to make USA 2026 with a 5-1 hammering in Greece.
It was a solid performance from Scotland and, in fact, it took an instinctive block from Schmeichel five minutes after the interval to deny Scott McTominay, who was immense for the visitors.
The Napoli midfielder turned away from two frantic challenges to fire in a low angled drive, but the Hoops netminder stretched out a right leg to get his foot to the ball to deflect it to safety.
As for Dolberg, the striker looked slow and ponderous and rarely threatened in his hour on the pitch.
