In his Bookies Corner article for the current issue of CQN Magazine, columnist, Blinkered Views, suggested St Mirren offered good value for a punt on relegation. I spoke to him when he submitted the article and suggested, “Surely Dunfermline?” He agreed Dunfermline were most likely for the drop but they offered no value. St Mirren, on the other hand, were 9/1 for the drop and he made a good case why this was worth a bet.
St Mirren promptly spoiled Christmas for thousands (not your or me) by coming from behind to beat Rangers but that has been their only win in 8 league games. We also don’t need to be reminded that when visiting St Mirren Park, form is a poor guide. Celtic exited the Scottish Cup there a week after beating Saints 7-0 at Celtic Park. They are a team who can raise their game for the big occasion and the visit of Celtic, live on TV, is as big as it gets around Paisley.
Paddy McCourt has enjoyed his visits there and has been key to Celtic collecting the points a couple of times. Don’t be surprised if he makes a match winning appearance from the bench.

In any case it sounds like Morrison is committing the worst sin of all, to sin against your God- given talent.

The rule is for away fix to be paid within 14 days of fixture but Celtic chucked that out (quite rightly imho) by asking for money up front for Dec 28 game . i think they’ll jump on the opporchancity to do the same .

It amazes me that any football club would tolerate a little tosser like that.
Football is a bad, bad sport at times, with clubs bending over backwards for little back-street scumbags no other profession would even entertain. The wealth conferred on these people, utter without any sense of responsibility, is appalling.
I look at people like Marlon King, drawing a salary, and it turns my stomach.
I look at own our flirtation with people like Bellers, who has his own chequered past, and I find it extraordinary that as supporters we would make heroes out of people who, in any other walk of life, we would cross the street to avoid.
Every player can run into trouble off the field. But for a young toe-rag, who assaulted his own mother, to be feted at all is offensive to all decency. For him to actually be demanding a weekly salary twice the annual wage of a local authority worker is just disgusting.
I would not want him within miles of my club and if my own club signed him I would certainly not want to contribute a penny towards his wages.
The values in this game are all of whack.
What are the chances that STV rangers news has Ramon Bardwage doing a 20 minute special on the big signing. Showing that same goal at least 5 times

We should make public their request and then ask why they want the cash up front .
If it is not required that we have to pay ,then we should leave the payment till the last day possible .
If needs be
Then state we only asked for payment as good business practise as there were stories regarding the solvency of the club and ragers need not worry about us on that score.

Lol you know what? When I read here earlier that Rangers are putting his first name and not his second on the back of the shirt, I actually thought it was a joke. I really did. I thought it was Awe_Naw’s imagination running riot. It seemed so pitifully small minded there was just no way it could be true.

The whole of the institution the SPL and SFA, the Scottish media and others would have us bend over backwards for has just let the mask slip, reminding us again at a very timely juncture just what we are being asked to consider saving.

These clubs get so big and are backed by so much Sky money that is unlikely the bubble will burst until the money stops.
The Utd bubble will deflate the minute Fergie leaves.
When Sky loses out to the new media the big money bubble will implode.
