Bogus issues and a Good Old Celtic debate

1020

I’ve not spent a lot of time online this week (work sometimes creeps in) but can’t believe the amount of traction that notion that Sevco would somehow be able to acquire SFA membership of a dead club, with all associated benefits, but be in a position to dictate set terms on how past misdeeds of Rangers would be recorded.

This is a bogus debate which serves only to deflect from the more serious issues facing Sevco, namely, do they have circa £25m to pay their way this season?  If not, their pedantic views of disciplinary matters are moot, although they may be used as a principled excuse to fold a football club.

On more positive matters……….

Tony Hamilton asked me into the Celtic TV to discuss various issues surrounding the club.  We spoke about how recent events elsewhere have had a galvanising impact on supporters of Celtic and other clubs, where Celtic’s future should be.  I also gave a breakdown of what the death of Rangers would mean financially to Celtic, with or without Champions League group stage qualification, talked about how it would benefit the entire Scottish game if we found a new league to play in, and the great atmosphere we have at Celtic Park these days – which you can experience if you buy a season ticket, which you absolutely-without-a-doubt-should!

Do it now.  The video is below:

    evening all

saw a certain Mr Regan enter a solicitors office on st vincent street this afternoon, looked very hurried, anyone know why this would be? He looked like a man on the edge, no joke btw, part of me felt sorry for him when I saw his eyes and the obvious discomfort he felt at being in a public place

anyhoo, I’m kinda skint this year so no SB for me, I’ll only be able to manage a game a month, I’ll guess there’s many in my shoes!!

Many season books we sold? Important we get behind the club but family comes first.

And you have it…Protestant religion peaked in Scotland in the ’60s. The decline was due in no small part to the following: smart, non-protestant (Catholic, Jewish) professionals; the sex discrimination act. Clever Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and non-denominational women infiltrated the previously ‘men-only’ professions of medicine, the law and education.

As a UFB who worked for the CoS, I can only say that we outnumbered any other faith by a significant amount because the CoS required a ‘live church’ reference. In other words, it was full of tims!

    TT,

You have had my head spinning for the last couple of hours. I looked at your Celtic ‘Charlies ‘ & thought,.. there must be dozens of them.

I could not believe that all I could come up was Charlie Gallagher,Charlie Napier, Chic Geatons & , using local knowledge, Clydebank’s own Charlie McGinley ( 1940’s).

Got to admit that I’m amazed at how few there appear to be.

More importantly, a big welcome to Livibhoy’s new arrival,

    ‘ Charlie is my darling…..’

  21. The SPL website has only 11 clubs, while BBC Sport has Dundee as club 12. Further charade meetings at Hampden will result in Sevco being in incubation for a year, Charles Green is not in a position to finance the running of a football club, and a one year ban would be the best possible outcome for him in any event.

Club 12…….. would be an apt name for a venue for comedians and illusionists. It’s all done with smoke and mirrors.

When the smoke clears maybe we will find an established centre half?
