Bolingoli, the shirt doesn’t fit.

306

I get the wisdom in including Olivier Ntcham i and Boli Bolingoli in the training camp. The former may yet have a role to play (outside his own box) at the club, Bolingoli, though, can only be there to maintain his fitness ahead of a move.

Least season’s calamitous events started with Boli giving the First Minister permission to interrupt our season.  He was lucky we didn’t lose the league by a small margin attributable to him. The shirt doesn’t fit.

just checked the test on VST and all seems well

Season starts for CELTIC FC tomorrow ,no pre season friendlies for any of the celtic players this year .

They have to show the manager they are buying into it or they want out .

    Agree with all of that

But the Huns equation is a bit light

Reality is – if the Huns do not make CL Group they will need to sell/borrow to get cash

    They are gambling (again)

If you want to test your paradise ticket,do it before 7pm tonight👍 they are having a dry run

  4. Ziggydoc1………….Yes perhaps Celtic should learn the Italian way of defending particularly at the set piece and then add some cynical play to the tactics i.e jersey pulling, diving, feigning injury and some stamping.

that sounded like the huns way of defending and of course

What puzzles me – you would think that having been burned so badly in 2012 and for nine years afterwards, that those at Ibrox would now be circumspect in all their financial dealings. On the other hand Celtic, having steered a course of financial probity for so long, would now feel that ‘the boat could be pushed out’ to get back on top.

The prospect of two CL qualifications and two consecutive titles appears to be encouraging all the Ibrox rich fans with deep pockets to invest even more. There appears no fear of financial failure.

Yes they are gambling, but they’ve been gambling for years and stacking up losses year on year. I agree that not making the CL Groups will dent their cashflow, but will it dent their ambition? They probably have 2/3 players that could bring in decent money – they will look at that as insurance.

We appear to now be up against a Kamikaze club who’s dictum is ‘win at all cost and under any circumstances’, and has no fear of of losing tens of millions each season – how do we cope with that?

  7. Oh yes, a bit of shirt pulling and obstruction is terrible but cementing the centre forward is perfectly fine and often encouraged

  8. Ange’s big Celtic adventure starts tomorrow and have to wish the man well in his efforts to get the Hoops back to winning ways. I imagine all players will start with a clean slate and it will be interesting to see who will be here for the big European game against the Danes. Let’s hope there is no fire sale of French Eddy and big Kris Ager – 30 million at least. Obviously not agreat time for signing players with the European Championships in full swing.

    ————————-

    I don’t get this – I have re-read Paul’s leader and I see no “high political boot”.

It is Bolingoli who is beiing painted as the villain, not the FM (this time)

This was one case where the First Minister was right to intervene. He had travelled to a country where he should not have gone, lied to the club about what he had done and endangered team mates and opponents. There is bound to be lingering resentment and, unless his form improves greatly, he is likely to face, IMO, angry treatment from our support.

I agree that most footballers deserve a 2nd chance, but I am not naive enough to think that the Celtic suppport have a high tolerance for Mr. Bolingoli. Being a fraction better than Greg Taylor is not good enough to escape the backlash that is coming his way.

  12. Rangers over spent for two decades competing with us. They also broke player registration rules and used illegal means to avoid paying tax.

The old club is no more but the same people retain the same mindset. There’s no limit to what they’ll do to compete with us – legal or illegal.

There’s nothing we can do about them qualifying for the CL. We have to concentrate on our own house although CL qualifiers represent a huge ask given where we are right now.

I agree with – so much blue garbage has been pumped out – however Morelos & a couple of others, e.g. Kent & Barisic are eminently sellable.

However such is their desire, relentless, ruthless & some might say reckless, it would not surprise me if there are no Ibrox sales in the next two months.

Are we willing to match that desire? In the position we are in, ‘real’ money will need to be spent if we are. It is our mindset that concerns me – we know what theirs is.

  15. The lack of player movement into celtic park is worrying and that will increase the longer it takes to get players in the door.

Are we better prepared now than last season? No

Is it as bad as is being made out? No

    Few key points/ differences

I dont think ange will be throwing any of the players under a bus before the domestic season starts causing heightened unrest in the dressing room. That imho was the real killer.

Boligate was a kick in the teeth and did not help. But like it or not, he is our best leftback and we shipped him out. Unless we can improve on him I would keep and play, upgrade for me.

The goalkeepers will struggle to play worse and I hope for a barkas bounce back ps some players take longer to settle.

Elhammed flattered and frimpong could not like defend

Scott brown was getting carried all season because he is brown scott.

Christie was a man down last season and will not be a loss.

Bringing in an energetic box to box midfielder to help mcgregor, turnbull and soro will go a long wat to improving the team.

Forrest is back from injury, that is massive for us

Jullian is coming back from injury and if he can get fit that will be a big improvement.

We now know welsh can for the most part assist and play against most premier teams without issue.

Only elyounouss will be missed regards the loan players and will need replaced.

Same goes for ajer and eduard albeit that for the latter it was more January onwards that was needed.

To be fair we should really be patient about this exciting rebuild. It’s only been 11 months since it all started falling apart, so time’s really been against the ever dynamic PLC 😂😂😂

According to net we are close to signing a 26 year old swede Centre half …..a couple of points….does this mean the 19 year old is a no no ?……worryingly he’s only 6ft 1…….even more worrying….he didn’t make the Swedish squad and Helander did !!!!!…….who is doing this job ffs

Reports of our death are greatly exaggerated, even on CQN which tends to lean towards realism and pragmatism, once Celtic supporters wake up and smell the coffee.

Especially in financial terms we are on safe ground we have sold more season tickets © Dominic McKay than any other club in Scotland. Put that in a 1994 perspective and its around 10,000 each season more than Rainjurz or even Sevco ever did. Nobody despite the flat earthers, is salting money away from Celtic, we didn’t need a Covid loan because we’re solvent, and have already banked ( Frimpong £11M, El Hamed £1M, Klimala £3.5M ). might get something for Ntcham and Bolingoli.

Wantaways still to go? deadline day or before, will see Celtic with many, many more millions of new money in the bank.

The Celtic board decided in October last year that once again CL qualifiers, were not a target because the club is run June to June when contracts end of not, and they simultaneously decided they were not changing the manager ( whether we wanted it or not ).

It’s not about when Celtic sign players when the window is open, it’s about who we have signed when the window closes.

When you cheat like Rangers and now Sevco you’re right its desperate, but then they’re are already dead.

  22. Would love to see Enrique prevail here given his personal tragedies.
