FORMER Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson has been nicknamed “Braveheart” by the fans of Serie B outfit Bari.
The 21-year-old playmaker joined the Italian side in January after impressing boss Fabio Grosso in trials.
Henderson said: “I’ve seen some fans call me ‘Braveheart’ and that’s nice. It’s obviously a famous story and, hopefully, things can keep going well.
“I try to work hard every day, to sacrifice for the team. Bari is a great club with really passionate fans.
“For me, it was a choice of life and I’m happy to have done it.
“Team-mate Franco Brienza, who is 39, is incredible. He is an example to me and is probably the greatest professional I’ve worked with in my career.
“The only player I have seen who is similar is Scott Brown.
“Franco is getting towards the end of his career, but the professionalism and determination is incredible.”
