BRENDAN RODGERS enjoyed a double celebration in Celtic’s dramatic 3-2 comeback triumph over Motherwell at Parkhead yesterday.
The victory, of course, ensured three crucial points in the champions’ quest for a fifth successive title and their fourteenth championship in 15 years.
But the Irishman also clocked up a personal milestone with his 200th victory since first arriving at the club in the summer of 2016.
Rodgers has been in charge for 289 games, giving him a 69% win rate. There have been 45 draws and 44 losses.

TITLE No.1…Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic players celebrate the 5-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle on April 2 2017 that earned the Irishman his first championship.
The 52-year-old gaffer got the ball rolling on the double century with a 3-0 win over Lincoln Red Imps in the second leg of the Champions League qualifier in the east end of Glasgow on July 20, 2016. The Hoops had been stunned 1-0 in the opening outing in Gibraltar.
Mikael Lustig had the honour of scoring the first goal in the manager’s success surge while Leigh Griffiths and Patrick Roberts added the others.
Rodgers notched up the century in a 5-0 romp over Dundee at Dens Park on October 31, 2018. Tom Rogic, Scott Sinclair (pen), James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie were the marksmen.
There were celebrations at Parkhead on May 11 last year when the former Liverpool boss, who had returned to the club from Leicester City in June 2023, guided the club to a 2-1 triumph over Philippe Clement’s Ibrox outfit with Matt O’Riley and John Lundstram (og) scoring the goals. The win recorded his 150th success.

DOUBLE CENTURIAN…Brendan Rodgers applauds his players in the 3-2 win over Motherwell.
Three days later, Celtic clinched the Premiership title with a 5-0 rout of Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The double century was achieved in the 3-2 win over Motherwell yesterday where Kelechi Iheanacho, Benjamin Nygren and Daizen Maeda shared the goals.
Rodgers will be looking to notch up No.201 when the Hoops return to action after the international break with a league encounter against Dundee on Tayside a week on Sunday.
