BRIGHTON EYE KAYAL

BERAM KAYAL, whose Celtic contract expires in the summer, is interesting Brighton.

The 26-year-old Israeli international has been identified as a potential signing for new manager Chris Hughton.

Kayal, who joined from Maccabi Haifa in 2010, has not played for the Hoops since November.

Hughton is chasing an experienced central midfielder in this month’s transfer window.

Kayal has made 13 appearances for the champions this season, nine from the substitutes’ bench.

His former Israeli club Haifa are interested, but are likely to wait until he is a free agent in June.

But Brighton could tempt Celtic to part with the player with a bid of around £500,000.

After a very promising start to his time at Celtic, the player suffered a dreadful injury after a horrible tackle by Lee McCulloch.
